Impressive patch - just another dirty sock to stuff into some of the hateeeer's and troll's mouths around here. Seriously... EA sports has proved to me since launch day that they really wanted to improve the overall experience of madden and regardless of the bugs and things missing from madden on day 1 release..i was pretty satisfied with the product. While there were things that made me a bit upset..like the zoom cam being way too low and unusable and not working in CCM, some AI logic things that bugged me and create a player was not able to be used in CCM coach mode (regular franchise mode)..i was still able to over look these and many other short comings because the game itself is solid and makes for a fun and exciting NFL football game.

Now with this new patch coming mid october...it is just more proof that EA sports really is'nt on some shady stuff ..this is proof in the pudding that the reason why certain things were missing were because of the reasons they said they were not in... "lack of time" ...so all the haters, after this patch and your still complaining...go and troll elsewhere and let the rest of us enjoy the game but most importantly..let us continue to help madden developers improve the game by our "constructive criticism"...there is nothing wrong with pointing out bugs, flaws and things we think need corrected but dont sit here and bash a game and bash the developers when we see "REAL" effort being put forth into this game..even after it's release.

Trolls, complainers and disgruntled haters are never satisfied and always complaining. That will never change..these people will always be around..so you guys that are positive minded...brush them off like flies...dont let them get you down or spoil the fun you are having with Madden 13.

Props to EA Sports for their effort and the fact that they are listening to their consumers. I said it before and i'll say it again..i am a fan of all sorts of genre's of videogames. I go to a ton of various gaming forums.. a lot that are not sports gaming forums and a lot of official gaming company forums and EA sports is one of very few that actually "listen" to their consumers and actually use our idea's and put into the game. We should appreciate that instead of finding ways to keep hating on them. I just dont get it...how some people are just so selfish and heartless in here..i am just thankful that my heart is not like that...I thank God he gave me a grateful heart that is unselfish and a mind that can focus on positives rather than negatives. I couldnt even imagine living life always unsatisfied with things.

Yes its great that it is fixed but after having spent some quality time with it from release day 1...i and many others found it to be way too low and not tilted down enough. A few guys around here actually discussed this with Mike Young about it *recently* and from what i gather is that mike young may be able to adjust it for us.

Seriously bro..the way the zoom cam is now..its so close to being pure greatness but because of how low it is and having no tilt..the field of view down field ruins it for passing plays...you're perspective when looking down field for open receivers is handicapped bigtime by how the zoom cam angle is right now..like i said..so close to perfection but yet so far away.

Honestly it just needs just a tiny bit of adjustments and it would be GODLY! ...Oh i just hope Mike Young was able to tweak it for this patch man...but since i already gave up on it after trying it countless times in "Play Now" mode..i have already given up and reverted back to "standard" cam which i am ok with.... "even" if the zoom cam does not get the tweaks that is needed for it to be playable this year. It is strange to me when I see someone post the first post in reference to the issues others have as being haters,etc, then see the same person post their issues in the next post as if they are somehow different because they overwhelming still enjoy the game.

You mentioned being unselfish in the first post I quoted and about having a heart for focusing on positives instead of negatives. Yet you seem to not realize most people that you are likely labeling negatively as haters, etc, happen to feel similar to how you do solely about the zoom cam but about the game as a whole. They feel if the game could just get a few adjustments then they could utilize and enjoy it but not how it's currently configured.

Do some people go overboard when expressing their issues on OS? IMO, yes they do but that's doesn't make their issues irrelevant or them inherently selfish negative people. I have read absolute garbage in the past on EA forums and other places on the net that I would never defend but none of that type of completely out of bounds crap is tolerated on OS. When a post crosses that line around here, the poster is shortly banned and most likely their post deleted, so imo, you are referring to posts that those who regulate OS and enforce its' TOS consider constructive criticism and valid, that you don't like, which you are of course entitled to not like, as hating, etc.

Likewise, I am just expressing my opinion about your opinion about the opinions of others, lol. Just because you don't share the issues that others have with the game or agree with the way they articulate those issues does not make them haters or demonstrate they have core character flaws in the way they live their life. I don't have a issue with you personally but ironically imo, your first post and a couple others I have read of yours, though not directed at anyone specific, were "out of bounds" in the context of discussing people's opinions on a video game, spilling over into your opinion of them as a person but I wouldn't make assumptions on how you live your life solely based on my opinion of what you post on OS..

Are you serious? So now we must throw a party for a company that took 2 months to fix a broken product that they charged $60 for? All these things should have been part of retail but they know they can patch them in later so they do not worry about it.

Until EA does not bring back what has been given to us for ever not only in Madden but any sports game the ability to use more then one team in a season or more users in a season then this game is still a scripted mode and not sim....

Sorry but I dont want to start a season and see a ton of moves that are not part of the real NFL.

That is fine for those fantasy lovers but why take away what sim lovers have always had.

I have not touched madden since week 2 that it came out.

great news, very pleased they are adding coach mode to the coach CCM....i have had some pretty great coach mode games this year in exhibition with slight slider adjustments...also love being able to take edited rosters into a CCM

Dude..those of us with 2k13 (i have it too!) ..know the issues with it, in fact 99% of gamers know every game has issues...the guy you quote is simply trolling like he always does around here. Not sure if you havent noticed but he's a known hateeeer around here...yet still buy's madden each year, yeah makes no sense actually..i some times wonder if some of these guys even own madden or if they are just old disgruntled ESPN NFL 2k5 fanboys that havent let go of what happened 7 years ago. And just so you know..i was a die hard NFL 2k5 fan.

As far as NBA2k13.. yeah i agree man. Its hilarious how he uses that game compared to madden when we talk about glaring bugs.

Wow EA!!! You've really done it this time!! This is some of the greatest news I've seen in a post release patch ever. Nicely done. Most of the big issues I've been having with this game are going to get fixed up, just in time too. I was starting to loose interest because of alot the small frustrations that are being addressed here. Nicely done.

Little disappointed you can't edit player positions once you start the CCM, but some progress here is better than none at all. Nicely done.

Yes its great that it is fixed but after having spent some quality time with it from release day 1...i and many others found it to be way too low and not tilted down enough. A few guys around here actually discussed this with Mike Young about it *recently* and from what i gather is that mike young may be able to adjust it for us.

I'm with you Moe games....I am still fighting hard for that better playing zoom camera angle. In this thread I have asked if they plan on tweaking it in the next patch several times, as well as others(since it isn't listed in this one), but they have not answered mine, or anyone else question about it.

One thing that eerks me is misinformed or lying posters talking out their a$$. This is a GREAT example of a poster deliberately trying to make madden look worse than what it is, trying to bash it in a stealthy manner...aka stealth troll.

You say Madden 13 sales have nearly stopped but yet last weekly sales reports for Madden 13 were around 125,000 from Sept 22nd to Sept 29th (just 360/ps3 not counting vita, wii). ...those are not weak numbers by no means for being its 4 or 5 week since release day and also considering Madden's first week sold 1.65 million copies which broke the record for this generation of Madden copies sold this generation of consoles, yet you sit here and try to lie about how bad its doing and how the majority of consumers dislike it. You base this from what? This forum after its been released? The majority that is left here are disgruntled trolls and us hardcore gamers left trying to give input to help with patches...the rest of the users are done with these forums and wont be back until pre-release madden 14 time frame. You cant even figure that out...

You say nearly all consumers were unhappy with madden but the sales reports above prove you absolutely wrong. Not only that but right here in Operation Sport Forums ran a poll in these madden forums asking who liked and disliked Madden after release day...this poll was posted by the OS Staff about a week or two AFTER madden 13 released. Did you even notice the results? It was like 88% Liked vs 12% disliked madden 13....

Hey Moe, sorry if I offended you. Here is what I based my comments on. If you don't think vgchartz is accurate enough to base a opinion, then the point might not mean a thing to you. I personally think vgchartz is the best tools i have seen available to us for viewing sales. Again just my opinion.

Only 1.92 mill units sold on Madden 13, and as you mentioned there was 1.65 million copies sold rather quickly. I have been watching that chart and it started off rocketing up, but the last 2.5 weeks or so it has barely moved.

Anyway, I am thankful EA patched all this stuff, but to keep it in perspective, the game will still only play as good as a play it now game does now basically. I still feel Madden 13 was a side step move to Madden 12(which I prefer).

I do try to help improve this game where it needs it. I don't want to sound like I think I know all the answers, but if they would have listened to me about grass, lighting, and camera's, this games graphics would have been insanely good this year. They actually did take my advice about the grass this year, but they made the green they used to light to look real. I will keep posting photo's on OS, twitter, and other forums and hope they take notice. Graphically, I wish I could have been apart of helping them tweak Madden 12, it was so close to greatness graphically.


Right now for me, it's all about getting this zoom camera angle raised and tilted with patch 4!! Hope this community comes together and expresses how much we want this. Madden 13 will look much improved if they give us the zoom cam that has been presented to them several times from this forum.

You know nothing about me to call me a *****, please do me a favor and find one post that I have stated that I hate the game and the devs. Find me one and I will shut up.

I have been playing madden since it first release so I have a say in this and my biggest issue is not the game play which I have constantly praised if you even bothered to read and not try and act like a forum politician.

I am mad at EA for taking away the one thing that has been the essence of any sports game or video game and replacing it with a mode that is geared towards unrealistic NFL rosters and whatnot.

What other game since sports games have taken away the ability for friends to play in a same season or allowing the user to make it their season in terms of total control.

All Sports games offer this. But madden decided to make Madden 13 fantasy football.

that is my biggest issue and only issue besides the fact that many hear want to throw a party for the devs because they decided to pick up their notes and fix what they wrote needed to be addressed before the game even released but we will target mid october to provide the full working game.

Nobody talks about the broken game flow which is what they pimp out or the cpu play calling late in games or the horrible zone or man to man defense in the game.

Those are not key points to many, we just have to make sure that EA allows us to put a hand towel on a qb to use in CCM. Or to allow a zoom cam in CCM...Yea that is what will make the game sim or even realistic.

I find these kind of posts bothersome. Don't get me wrong, it's good that this patch is out, however, this should have happened regardless.

If you ordered some food and were given the wrong dish or it's missing a component, would you write them a glowing letter of applause because they fixed THEIR mistake?

I'm sorry, but this is what we should have gotten in the first place. Nobody is a "troll" or "complainer" for being sold something broken and asking for what they paid for. It's simply not right and excusing that behaviour is why we have such culture today, why selling games that NEED patches to function as intended has become acceptable practice.

A quick word to the wise- continually calling user's on this forum "haters" violates TOS. Other user's here have also pointed out to you that there are better ways to articulate your points aside from calling anyone who disagrees with you a "*****". Not really sure what your agenda is in this thread but hopefully it changes soon.


On a side note, there have been numerous reports of PS3'a doing a hard shutdown when quitting Madden after the last patch. Is this being addressed, I have yet to get a response on this issue?

Sorry if its been posted but does anyone have the problem where you cant look at all the players in the league on offline CCM? i like fast MLBs but i hate looking through all the NFL teams to find one. i wish i was able to just view the whole league like in the old games

This is a very good list. Just wish I could get legit CPU vs CPU without having to pick plays like in Madden 12 and previous versions.

Madden 14......lobbying for GM Mode, Spectate option, or something similar.

I'm pretty excited! I have a CCM with some friends, and signed Vince Young to run some wild cat for the Broncos, the game gave him #7... it just looks wrong...

One thing that I would like to see fixed is that the Seahawks grey alternates are considered HOME jerseys on the game, so when you play with them the other team is locked into white jerseys, makes the teams almost impossible to tell apart....
