My point is why does this game get a pass? If this was Madden, NCAA Football, or NBA Live people would be going nuts calling for heads to roll. To be honest, this game isn't good enough to joke about this stuff. I believe that the NHL team is content with their game year in and year out because we (the fans) don't encourage them enough to improve this game. As a result, we are handed an unfinished above average game. This game should be great, not just slightly above average. -
People are honestly flipping out about this? I've played over 100 games and never saw this once. It's not that big of a deal, and it's actually funny. It in no way hinders gameplay and if you think past NHL games have gotten passes then you haven't been on operation sports. I really feel for developers in this day and age. There are lots more code than their used to be and if they make one mistake (even if it's barely noticeable) people act like you're beating their dog, mother, and sister. NHL 13 is a heck of a lot better than their past games. If you don't like the hercules check, then don't do it, the cpu doesn't do it and EA isn't forcing you to play that way.PSN:BrrbisBrrComment

Re: EA Sports Explains How the Hercules Check in NHL 13 Really Happened
The hercules check happened because he was checked into the bench right when another player was coming onto the ice, so physics went crazy. Every EA game has crazy physics, first it was FIFA, now Madden, even Tiger Woods has crazy times where if ur ball hits the flag pole it will rocket to the moon 100 yds away.Comment

Re: EA Sports Explains How the Hercules Check in NHL 13 Really Happened
I've never seen this bug because it's such a rare situation that has to be set up for it to occur (line change at the same time you are performing a hip check near the benches).
There are definitely some bugs in this game, but this is not really a significant one due to how rare it is that you'd actually see it occur during a game.Comment

Re: EA Sports Explains How the Hercules Check in NHL 13 Really Happened
I think the hitting power slider is TOO effective. Whenever I have it over 3, I see more "fish flopping" hits, or the player bounces on his head after a hit, etc. With it at 3 or less, it's not as bad.Comment

The bizarre hits are rare, I've seen one in my entire time playing.I've never seen this bug because it's such a rare situation that has to be set up for it to occur (line change at the same time you are performing a hip check near the benches).

Still though, hitting is very buggy this year. Now that penalties are better, I think hitting is the #1 issue with the game. This particular thing is just a quirk but that doesn't change the fact that the physics have taken a huge step back this year.Go Sabres!Comment

I think the video is great! Nothing wrong imo with having a little laugh about a fairly meaningless glitch in the game.
I've yet to see it in any my games. But heck...I'm looking forward to it!1969 NFL ChampionsComment

Re: EA Sports Explains How the Hercules Check in NHL 13 Really Happened
Thats just awesome.
The fact of the matter is that you have to try to do this and it only happens with given set of circumstances. Therefore, I've never seen it during my playing time.
But the video...its hilarious, man.Comment

Re: EA Sports Explains How the Hercules Check in NHL 13 Really Happened
You're right. I'm sure the bug fixes are left up to the marketing team, so the making of this video absolutely took away from their ability to fix the bug. That's why I've been saying for years that the studio that makes NHL should have more than four employees who are responsible for doing everything related to the game.

ha ha ha!!! Someone should tell Rammer though, that you don't pay by the minute on YouTube.
Great video, but he's always speaking like one of those voices that reads the "fine print" in TV ads...
Thank you EA - This game is officially better than sexComment

Yeah, it'd be one thing if this hit was the norm. But like you said, it has to be certain situations and timing to make it happen.I've never seen this bug because it's such a rare situation that has to be set up for it to occur (line change at the same time you are performing a hip check near the benches).

Unlike Madden where awkward trips and such happen almost every play.Comment
