So we've got a couple people in my online CCM who traded for players on their last year of the contract.

Neither of these 2 players showed up under their resign options (first step of offseason) and they ended up entering Free Agency, without the new teams being able to negotiate.

So, my questions, if anyone knows are:

1) Is this a game issue, or do some players choose to go directly to Free Agency without Negotiation, if their interest is Very Low.

2) If Team A low balls a player in his last year and he becomes unavailable to negotiate, and then that player is traded to the new team...is the new team screwed because of the lowball offer?

Anyone have any insight?
