Unable to be traded to desired team after patch

So I created a MyPlayer and started MyCareer when I first got the game. I was drafted by Houston and asked to be traded to the Nets first chance I got and after a few games the request was granted. Now that the small patch came out and rosters updated, I decided to start over MyCareer. I have requested now 5 times to be traded with the Nets as my only choice and have now been traded to the Pistons, Timberwolves, celtics, bobcats, and Heat. Since the Nets don't have a draft pick, there's not even a way I could be drafted by them. Has anyone else had this problem now or any idea what gives? It's frustrating

i dont think its the patch since i had the oppposite happen to me. Was drafted 6th by POR, ask for a trade to the bulls, but instead got traded to OKC, started a new one after the patch, same draft position but this time i got traded to MIL first, then ask for another trade to the bulls, and finally got it.

Well between this and the problem with staying in the starting lineup, this mode is becoming unplayable for me. The starting lineup/ minutes suddenly cut after every few games things especially is killing it for me. Sucks cause I pretty much only play MyPlayer

Glad to hear u at least made it to your desired team. Maybe there's some hope. Don't know what I'm doing wrong or what's going on with my game

You honestly just got a little lucky before the patch. In my experience with my SF, I got drafted to the Suns and immediately asked for a trade to either the Magic, Hawks, or Hornets. I was then traded to the Spurs. Being determined, I was going to ask for this trade until I was playing in one of my top 3 choices. I then got traded to the Blazers and then the Nuggets where I currently play. It ended up working out because I love the fast pace and athleticism of the Nuggets, but I never did go to any of my choices. This was all before the draft.

I remember in 2k11 and 12 that I got traded to teams that I didnt ask for. I think its kind of a luck of the draw thing (totally talking out my *** though, I have no idea).

The game doesn't have to trade you to one of the places you asked for.

I just remember in 2k11 I believe that one of the patch notes was that the game would make a better effort of placing u on one of the teams u desired when u requested a trade. I figured this addition would carry over. Never had a problem with it in 2k12
