1st, complete contradiction, role playing is defined as representing something other than your real world. Rolling a 20 sided die to pick the lock of the treasure chest you just killed that dragon for is used to represent the actual sport of being a level 14 Rogue 
Seems to me from some other posts I've read on here that "role-playing" has a negative connontation and has taken on the meaning more of playing dress up dollies rather than simulating any other role than your own.
2nd I honestly am not trying to be mean nor am I judging this person individually, I just wanted to say that reactions like this, and statements as above are probably (and remember I'm a niche player, not a Maddenite) why Madden is having such an identification crisis. You can not please all the people all the time, so why everything that the person wrote above is correct, for them, and valid, it is only one voice out of many and unless they make a million different versions of Madden each year, someone is always going to think Madden makes no sense.
The problem is that when something new is added to Madden, its either flawed, glitched or quite honestly, shouldnt be in the game to begin with. Madden is NOT an RPG. Its a football video game thats supposed to represent the actual sport of professional football. Since the XP system is used to increase player attributes (and why there's no editing of player attributes in CCM) and Mini Camp was used for the same purpose, why not bring back something that has to do with football, is a lot of fun to play and accomplishes the same goal - which is being able to increase your player's attributes without editing?
I dont like the scheme setup because it defeats the purpose of using custom rosters and prevents other things that the user should be able to do but cant. I dont like that the scheme actually increases or decreases overall ratings. Its stupid. I'm a 49ers fan and im sorry but there's no way in hell that TE Vernon Davis should decrease 5 points in CCM because he doesnt fit the scheme (**did he PLAY differently? No, and he is not the passing game, believe me, only scored two fantasy points for me the one time I got him
)when in reality, he's easily the biggest offensive weapon we have in the passing game and some would argue that Davis IS the passing game. Just doesnt make any sense at all.
Tiburon/EA should go back to basics, add in the stuff they took out for no apparent reason other than to piss people off, and give the user as many options and customizing as possible. It's 2012, I shouldnt be playing a video game that gives me less options and such than what was available a decade ago. Seriously, it makes no sense and is the opposite of what it should and is supposed to be.
