Re: Madden NFL 13 Title Update #3 Arrives October 16th, Edit CCM Rosters and More
Sometimes I read a post and I wonder if it is someone from the Head Coach team posting in disguise just to troll Head Coach because I read the post and what they want is SO blatantly what Head Coach did

My aplogies if this has been addressed already in this thread, but does the ability to edit players mean that we can now import draft classes, or are those two things not related at all?Comment

Re: Madden NFL 13 Title Update #3 Arrives October 16th, Edit CCM Rosters and More
They should just let them go anywhere or at the least be put anywhere on the depth chart/formation sub.Different positions have whole different packages, so it would be incompatible with the new XP system.
They are doing a quick fix in M13 to let people edit left-right on certain positions, but in M14 they need to let players shift around all positions that have the same skill packages (a LG should be able to shift anywhere on the o-line because the skill sets are all the same).
The skill set of DT and FB aren't really the same, yet we see some teams putting DTs in to act as FBs on power goal-line runs. Can you do T eligible plays in Madden by subbing an OL at TE? I mean, players have ratings all over the place, including at non-primary skills, and sometimes those skills aren't half bad, and as a coach, you should be able to work on them and as a player, maybe you want to diversify yourself a bit to stick on the roster as a marginal guy or get more involvement as a solid starter.
If formation sub was freed up, then the actual position could be more limited and used for contracts and such and it would make sense to limit it, though I'd like to see the player decide (like Suggs said "no, I'm a DE" one year when the Ravens tried to franchise him) if he'll accept the new designation instead of it being outright banned."Some people call it butterflies, but to him, it probably feels like pterodactyls in his stomach." --Plesac in MLB18Comment

Does anyone know which week's roster we are getting for CCM with this update? Is it the most current or one from several weeks ago. I could not find this info anywhere.Comment

Whichever one you want. You can load custom rosters. (for offline)
Online I'm not sure.Last edited by BTownSlinger; 10-12-2012, 09:36 AM.Comment

Re: Madden NFL 13 Title Update #3 Arrives October 16th, Edit CCM Rosters and More
I am glad you mentioned this because last Sunday I was watching some game, can't remember which at this moment but one team put in an OL at TE for better pass protection. Well the defense didn't bring a lot of pressure, they opted for more defenders in coverage, so the OL leaked out a few yards upfield. The QB couldn't find anyone open so he ATTEMPTED to dump it off to the OL playing TE to pick up a few yards but the OL couldn't handle the routine catch, bobbled it and a defender was able to easily come in to break up the play. They should just let them go anywhere or at the least be put anywhere on the depth chart/formation sub.

I instantly thought of Madden and how sensible it would be if there were animations to differentiate the skills for various players at various positions, hell, just animations for variation period. Not just a player with a low catch rating dropping the ball but animations that trigger, showing the player bobbling the ball, taking longer to secure a catch, allowing the defense a bigger window to break up the play. Just imagine if every jump shot in a basketball video game was either a net swisher or off the front rim brick, with no other variation of off the glass, rimming out(grow up), off the sides of the rim, etc, that would get repetitive fast. That's what happens in Madden, imo, due to the lack of proper animation diversity to differentiate football processes.Comment
