    Best gem ever?

I have a freshman kicker who can't even make a 40 yarder sooo I decided to try to find a gem. Just picked a random 2 star and look lol has kick power of 88 I think acc. Was 81 I know power is the hardest thing to increase right ?

Looks nice! You should consider red-shirting him and using your FR Kicker one more season. This guy will be an 82+ the following season.

Good find. I just signed a 3* OLB in my Arkansas dynasty. He was ranked 1,100-something overall and in the 50th-something ranked OLB. Started off as a 61 but, after scouting him 100% he had a +12 and was up to a 73 overall. Only reason I was going after him is because LB was a team need and he was an instate prospect.

Great question and I'd love to see the answers you get. Might need to start a new thread though. I'm in my second recruiting season in my dynasty and I have a few busts but I am still recruiting them because they are better than my current players.

Funny his name is Nugent. As tOSU had a Groza winning PK in 2004 named Mike Nugent.

In my OD, I'm recruiting a 3* guard who went from 66 to 78 after scouting for a +12. He'll be starting on the Irish OL within 2 years. Can't wait until he signs.

My best gem just happened in my Miami dynasty. A low star corner, 69 overall before scouting, ended up being a +11 80 overall at 100% scouting. Cant wait to have him next season to go along with all the highly touted corners i got last season!

He wasn't listed as a Gem but his overall at the position I put him at was a lot better than what it showed.

I recruited a 74 ATH who after scouting was listed at 75. He got to my school and ended up being an 82 FS.

The best gem I've found so far was a 69 CB (three star) who ended up a 77 overall. 96 speed, 84 mcv, 88 zcv. A white dude named Kevin Coleman. Can't wait to use him next year.

                          Re: Best gem ever?

I've had a couple in my current season (Season 1) with Nebraska. I'm in an OD with 10 others who all have elite teams and so I can't really win the head to head recruiting battles for elite players and I've done a good job of finding gems.

My best one is the #12 OLB, 4*. Started as 72, went +8 to 80 overall. Will be a beast. Another was 2* kicker from Nebraska. I need to replace a graduating senior punter and all the elite guys I went after fell through, went to this guy, scouted him with 30 minutes and he went from 67 to 73 with 89 kick power. He signed the following week. I still haven't fully scouted him to know his final overall number, but I bet he'll be +10 overall. KPW is all that matters.

The best one is the #71 3* CB. Added him in Week 9, fully scouted him by Week 12 and he went from 64 to 74. 93 speed, 95 accel, 84 agil, 89 jump, 80 man, 82 zone. Dude is awesome. I return all of my CB's next year so didn't need an instant contributor. I'll red shirt him and get him up to around 80 overall as a RS FR, ready to get on the field as a nickel.

Had a few other +6 and +7 guys. Great class considering.

                            Working on a 3* DT. #26 DT 6'5" 302 from Arkansas. Was a 69 before scouting, but a +11 80 after scouting.

                            84 Strength
                            81 Power Moves
                            79 Finesse Moves
                            82 Block Shedding
                            82 Tackle
                            84 Hit Power
                            74 Pursuit
                            71 Play Recognition

He's an instate prospect but I'm only fifth on his list right now. He's got a top-3 of Texas, LSU, and Oklahoma. Gonna hard to beat them out.
