I'm on 360, and while it saved when I changed the Raven's offense from power run to balanced, It still shows all my players as playing in a power run scheme. I tried simming a week and everything.

The scheme players are suited to doesn't change just because you change the scheme you wantComment

I'm in the same boat as the above poster that said schemes won't change in an existing CCM. I started my CCM of course on launch day, or a couple of days after, I can't remember, and when I try to change my scheme as a head coach, exiting the screen just reverts back to the previous setting. Now, I'm only in year 2, and generally lose interest after the first year, but this years Madden has me hooked, to where I want to see this thing through for once, and not just play a season and a half, or whatever I normally do before starting fresh again. Kind of a bummer when I'm Scouting or looking at resigning, or signing players, and see that most of the players I'm looking at are labeled as a "poor fit" scheme wise just because I picked some funky scheme upon starting lol.Let me clarify, as I did some tweaking in a test Offline CCM just a little while ago.
Here's what you can change whenever you want:
Offensive & defensive schemes
Here's what you can't change once you've created your coach:
Default playbook for offense/defense
The later doesn't appear to be a HUGE deal because you can always change which playbook you're using before starting a game. Kind of a pain in the ***, yes, but still you can work around it.
In the test Offline CCM I was messing with, my schemes were saving just fine. Not sure what you're talking about there. I trust that it'll work the same way for Online CCM's (of which, I'm in my 6th season so yeah, not restarting), once the Online CCM update drops on 10/19.NFL: Dallas Cowboys / San Francisco 49ers
MLB: Texas Rangers
NBA: Dallas Mavericks / LeBron James :-)Comment

one of the guys in my league confirmed he could change his schemes today.
this also kills the suggestion in this thread saying you need to start a NEW CC.

Re: Madden NFL 13 - Changing Schemes in Online Connected Careers Arrives on Oct. 19th
A couple things I've noticed so far:
Testing as the Dolphins, a West Coast / 4-3 Base scheme by default.
1.) Changing from West Coast to Power Run changes the coach weekly XP goals from the passing goals (350 passing yards, 3 passing TDs, etc.) to the rushing goals (150 yards rushing, etc.). The week must be advanced after making the change in order for it to take effect.
2.) Changing from 4-3 Base to 3-4 Base (or 3-4 Attacking) does *not* change the number of MLB's and DT's listed in the sub-schemes. There is still DT1 and DT2 listed and only one MLB after changing to 3-4, which is very disappointing.
I'm hoping #2 might be fixed, but not sure if I'll be holding my breath.

Re: Madden NFL 13 - Changing Schemes in Online Connected Careers Arrives on Oct. 19th
I noticed #2 was a problem when I went to do a fantasy draft as the Chiefs, trying to bring the Giants 4-3 style of play to KC a few weeks ago. My dreams were crushed before the CCM startedA couple things I've noticed so far:

Re: Madden NFL 13 - Changing Schemes in Online Connected Careers Arrives on Oct. 19th
i have the same issue in my offline CCM with the Raiders. in game when they show the starting lineups for the defense, they always show 4 linebackers now.
not a big deal to me though."on hoping there is a PSN flash sale before Valentine's Day"
I'm sure there's plenty of prostitutes you could pay if you really want vd.Man there are no flashers... now what are we going to do for vd
Depends on what area of a hooker you would use to redeem them.yea but will they take psn cards
lolComment

Can anyone confirm that you can change schemes in a pre existing offline ccm?? I tried..left the screen, went right back and it was back to the original schemes. Do you have to advance a week?? Or do anything to trigger it??? Any help much appreciated! I REALLY dont wanna start over
