Can anyone confirm if Accelerated clock now works in user vs user CC games? I'd change it and check myself but our CC is experiencing the resetting injuries bug where all injuries are reset when a setting is changed so I don't want to change any settings for fear it will erase my injuries and still not have accelerated clock working. If it's truly fixed, then I can change it in my CC and it would be worth it to lose injuries but gain accelerated clock.

Any help here would be much appreciated.

Hi guys this thread has gotten a lot longer than i can sift through, i got to about page 26. I am hinging purchasing the game on this patch. Has the gameplay bugs been cleaned up enough to enjoy this game long term?

Please, goodness no... the game is finally playing decently. They really cleaned it up with this last patch. I know there are some roster edit issues and what not, but for them to take a chance at ruining what they have built here, I say no way...

One final note: EA stated in the beginning that CCM was ready for the ability to edit rosters within it! We pushed until we got it. We can't blame EA for going against their better judgement to appease the community.

Another patch could put the game into a worse state.

Be careful what you ask for with computers and programming. It only takes one incorrect 1 or 0 to screw things to hell.

No. They HAVE to fix the editing now or this game becomes worthless. Btw, we pushed until we got it, because it never should have been removed in the FIRST place. That was just a dumb move on their part, so you can't blame US for wanting it put back in.

Madden 13 is now a solid title. Not great, not bad....just solid. I see myself enjoying 2-3 seasons and then seeing where it goes next year. They cleaned up a lot of issues with this patch. AI is still wonky but not horrendous. Not better than 12 though (talking about AI and CPU gameplans). But playable. I like the direction of IE, I love the new passing system (as I have said over and over) and CCM is a great start to a deeper, more immersive franchise experience.

NCAA 13 is still IMO the better football game top to bottom on and off the field. Some think I am nuts in that asserstion but it is how I feel when I play both games side by side. I also think I am enjoying College Football as a whole far more than the NFL these days. I love the rivalries, recruiting, the underdog upsets, the race for the heisman with one of my kids, the unpredictability of games week to week in NCAA 13. The Dynasty hub is easy to navigate, the UI is far better than M13 and the game is silky smooth.

But I am not complaining with M13 anymore after this patch. I feel satisfied for my 45 bucks.

I'm with the guy above you asking about the new patch. I read through this entire thread and I still don't have a handle on whether the patch fixed things enough for this to be a purchase. I just can't get a handle on what the late game AI is like. Still dumb as rocks or is it much improved?

I have a $65 circuit city reward zone check waiting. Should we be waiting to see if another patch is coming out to clean things up?

Define worthless, because this game plays great football. They forewarned everyone in the beginning that CCM was not ready for roster editing. It most likely is not something they can resolve with a patch.

Basing the replay value of the game off of the capability to edit rosters, makes no sense to me. Don't get me wrong, I would love have the ability to edit rosters, but I don't see lack of that ability a game breaker by any means. I just hope future roster updates aren't screwed because of the patch.

All this patch did was birth more complainers. Ridiculously entertaining tho, especially reading about not being able to change sock colors, etc. What's sad, not one review about other areas of the patch, like the new intelligent commentary. Anyways like someone said, bigbob I think, EA talked about why things were left out months before the release. I'm just glad my fun experience hasn't been ruined by the editing complainers.

IMO there are far better sports game options than Madden 13.


NBA 2K13 - Even though I have not bought it....I have been playing 2K11 and I am sure 2K13 is at that games high level of quality.

Madden 13 is a good game.....not great and not bad. If your not a nit pick on uniforms, and expect a true football simulation but more of a hybrid arcade/sim game with a good franchise (not great) mode M13 is a good game. It is fun to play. But like I said the above titles I mentioned get far more play time than M13 on my console.

If I had to only have one game hands down The Show 12.

I can only imagine where football games would be if 360 had blue ray. WOW! The 360 will never see the show or game like it, because of blue ray compression technology. Maybe gamers, in the next gen, will get two consoles capable of taking the games places they've never gone before.

Worthless to ME by the fact that I spent 60 bucks pretty much assuming that editing would be added back in at a later time. You're right, they did tell us from the beginning that it was out, but after all of the outrage, why WOULDN'T I assume that it would get fixed? That is, if they care enough about their consumers to give them what they want. I duno, maybe I'm expecting too much. I would just like to be able to enjoy Madden again, and sadly, that hasn't really happened in a few years.

wow, okay, I just have to say this now, and curtail my browsing of "general" threads like this for now on.

1st, this is supposed to be an impressions thread, meaning you play the game and give your impressions on what the patch has or has not changed for you.

2nd, I highlight you because I think maybe 1/2 the posts on here now or just flat out wrong! People are taking one instance or one problem that happened to them and then coming on here posting as if it is exactly the same for everyone else and everyone should feel just like they do.

3rd, Stop It! (yes Mike Ditka) What happens to you is not happening to everyone else all the time. That is what this thread is supposed to be, hey, this just happened to me, is this part of the patch? NOT , this just happened to me therefore the game is broken and everyone should not buy or trade their game because of my experience.

4th, SHARE your experience, do not draw some fanciful, all-knowing, omnipotent, judgement on everyone else that plays the game and/or the people who made the game.

5th. Just the facts!! Put the facts down, what/when/how/where and let the developers draw the correct conclusions from how often we post the same problems and what those problems are. Then this thread and forum would serve its intended purpose which is:

6th COMMUNICATION!! That's why we're here, to communicate, not judge or much more often prejudge.

Finally, play the game, enjoy it, watch what happens that is good and if there isn't enough good to keep you playing, that is great, no problem making your list as some have done of why this game is not playable for you. I'm not bashing bashers, if the game fails for them it fails, and they have every right and SHOULD complain about it. I'm just saying, stop transferring your individual experiences onto everyone else because believe it or not, not everybody is experiencing what you are. Stop assuming, just let us know what's going on and how you feel about it

No one can verify/repudiate this??? That's the type of thing that would make this thread useful because if 4822 people post that they had 0 qb scrambles when on coach mode then they might fix that in the future...but as of now, it seems like it only happened to me, since there is no corroboration so the developers can't know if it is an ai issue or not....

p.s. this argument about run/pass ratio. I've read very good mix, and very bad mix and my mix was good in preseason game 1. Bills have a pretty good rushing tandem but my d was stout until fitzpatrick scrambled on me. once they did that, they switched to rushing the ball much more often. My impression is that the play calling is dynamic based on success in-game, score (of course) and the defensive opposition. try playing with different teams vs different teams and post whether the run/pass ratio is the same. that would be useful instead of debating theories.

Played one game, haven't had a ton of time for Madden last couple weeks.

Was very pleased with the challenge the CPU provided. I won in a shootout against the Jets. I think I'll need to tweak my sliders if I struggle as much on defense as I did in this game on a regular basis. I'd rather have that problem than what I had before. I gave up 200+ on the ground. I'd like that to be less due to broken tackles, but I can find a way to make it work.

I'm going to play a few more games before making any significant adjustments, but thus far it looks like the CPU defense is still soft, but that is fixable with sliders. CPU run game is better, playcalling was more balanced for the game I played. I threw 6 td passes. Every time I got near the red zone the CPU seemed to stack against the run a little heavier than they should. It basically forced me to beat them through the air. That's fine, the Jets tend to play that way. I just hope not everyone does. They made it damn near impossible to get it in on the ground, but in doing so they made passing pretty easy.

Overall, I think the AI is much improved. With sliders, I believe I will now be able to find settings where the game is dynamic and enjoyable to play. Good job, EA. Hope I continue to see the same results as I play more.
