Impossible to win with...
The Bobcats. I know that they were historically bad last year, but they were competitive. I cannot win a game with them. If I push out to a lead, my team either starts turning the ball over or refuses to hit an open jumper (even with Ben Gordon). C'mon 2K, you guys are killin' me. If I play an intelligent game I should be rewarded with a win, not punished for merely choosing to play with the 'Cats. I challenge anybody out there especially the true, so-called ballers, to play against your friends (wouldn't expect you to jeopardize online records) with Charlotte. I bet you won't win. 2K is forcing me to select another team and that is sad. But hey, I know, based on their 2011-2012 record some would say "that's realistic man." Oh, yeah? Well guess what? They did win 7 games last year, and if I play a smart game, I should have a chance of recreating one of those 7 wins.Tags: None -
Re: Impossible to win with...
2k is not forcing you to do anything lol .... you obviously need more practice with them... do you have the shots for all the players on your team right ?? do you know the ratings of the mid ranges/3 for each player.. ive seen people get wins with the bobcats on HOF difficulty against others... so it isnt hard at all... like i said you just gotta learn how to play with them as a team -

Re: Impossible to win with...
You are playing with the team who had the worst record in the history of the NBA last year and wondering why you can't win? If you aren't starting yet or at least a 6th man, I doubt you're even impacting the game much. The game emulates how bad the Bobcats are quite well. If you want to win, you're going to have to take over. You have to be the difference.Last edited by strobox88; 10-26-2012, 11:00 PM.Comment

Re: Impossible to win with...
Out of anything 2k did this year, I thought the difference of outcomes was the best. I have played 8 association games, and all have had a different point spread, different outcome, and just a different feel for who was going to win.
And in an unrelated matter, Kevin Martin is an absolute monster."The designated hitter rule is like letting someone else take Wilt Chamberlain's free throws."

Re: Impossible to win with...
Actually the Bobcats are my team this year and I've yet to lose with them. Its fun and challenging. Although you do have to try harder in the fourth because you have no closer. And since Ben Gordon is the only shooter, when hes off its difficult. But when hes on hes fireComment

Re: Impossible to win with...
The Bobcats are wayyyyyyyyy better on this game than they are in real life. Gordon from the left corner is money, 3 shots from there and he is on fire after that you can drop shots from nearly anywhere on the court with him. Thomas and Mullens are mid range monsters. Walker of the dribble and slashing through the paint and to the rim is ridiculous. MKG can't shoot but attacking the basket he's a terror. Haywood can rebound with the best of them. Williams and Carroll can prove to be extremely deadly from three when left alone. Biyombo's ability to challenge shots is a huge asset.
Don't blame 2K because you can't win with them, you have to know the team, if you do you can most definitely win with them.Say "No" to railroaded MC modes.Comment

Re: Impossible to win with...
Ben Gordon has insane shooting ratings in this game. Even better than 2k12, there is no reason why both he and Kemba Walker shouldn't be able to provide the bulk of the scoring you need. Byron Mullens and Gerald Henderson can also both help a tad. Those 4 guys should be your scoring options, and then MKG can provide a little bit of everything...
There aren't that bad in the game.Comment

Re: Impossible to win with...
MKG is sick. Dude can dunk it and hit a mid range once u get his release. Walker is great from mid range. Hop step then shoot goes in like 80% of the time. Ben Gordon is way to good from deep. Tyrus Thomas can block shoots n is good off the pick n roll with mkg. That's all you're weapons and it can work. I lost by six against a very good player with the heat. I was so pissed bc the only thing is the bob cats have no closer. Noone could make a shot in the last two minutes. I had the lead by 3 goin into the 4th. Have to play great defense and make sure u don't play without Kemba or Ben or mkg on the floor. Smart timing substitutions.Comment

Re: Impossible to win with...
Talking about offline, everything depends on difficulty/sliders etc. Basically anybody can win/lose with any team.
Keeping difficulty and sliders at realistic level (with low, low consistency for user, besides difficulty consistency is what makes shooting harder), I find it hard to win with Orlando. If your shot is not falling, it is gonna be a blowout. Because all those average/mediocre players you have are decent jump shooters (terrible ones just do nothing). No one to attack the basket. Nobody to rebound. Nobody to defend except for Afflalo.
Should be fun rebuilding them, but if things are kept realistic, 10+ wins in a 82 games season will be a major success with that team.Comment

Re: Impossible to win with...
(This is regarding online play only)
While I am not the best 2K player, I would describe my ability as above average. I've played 2K basketball (and football) since it appeared on the Dreamcast, so I am familiar with the intricacies of the game.
The shot releases for Gordon and MKG are ridiculously late, and I believe that the defensive skill of the player defending each (at a given time) seems to effect the shot-timing significantly (maybe the Bobcat players are affected more than players on other teams because of their record last yr?). In a way, I love how that aspect has been incorporated into the game, but I believe that this element works toward the detriment of my squad.
With the 'Cats there is a woeful lack of talent, but there is some talent. And my losses have not been blowouts caused by a "lack of understanding," they have been due to ridiculous tunovers (steals/rips) and an inability to make open close and mid-ranged shots at some point in the game. When my cold streak stikes, I believe it is a little colder and lasts a little longer than with other teams. But I guess that is the point with the 'Cats.Comment

Re: Impossible to win with...
Pick your shots Bette. Don't iso run pick and rolls and cuts to thebasket. Force bad shots and run transition game with Kemba mkg and Gordon. Mkg is a good ball handler. He to me feels like a baby lebron. Don't take tough shots n don't dribble with bryon mullens.Comment
