Alright, so I'm tired of playing the Heat, Lakers, Knicks, Pacers, Nuggets, and Thunder. Does ANYONE actually use mediocre or bad teams online? I'm not really the hardcore competitive player, more of a casual player, any fun teams to use online? I really like using the Rockets (Linsanity!) and Bucks (Ellis and Jennings are money)

I play as Washington and New Orleans almost exclusively, though I'll occasionally run with Memphis if I'm going to be playing somebody with a good record that is using Miami or LAL so the margin of error isn't so slight.
Washington is incredible to use online though, trust me...you can fight cheese with cheese like no other if it comes down to it. Knife the line with John Wall, dish to Okafor or Nene, score. Not there? Dish out to Beal, score. EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. There's nothing quite like blowing out someone playing as the Heat with the Wizards and I do it pretty often.Comment

Meh, I was talking before this latest debacle of a roster update. Haven't played any 2K yet today, but Wall isn't really the fun part of playing with the Wizards - having Nene and Okafor down low is. Just play Crawford 1, Beal 2, Ariza 3, Nene 4, Okafor 5 and they'll still be a blast to play with.
If Nene is out in this update, start Singleton or Booker at the 4. You'll be undersized, but it still works pretty well.Comment

Even though the Lakers are a powerhouse, I'd say they're pretty much the funnest team to play with online.
Steve Nash's passing ability is just amazing. And his signature off the dribble from long range spreads the floor a lot because you can't let off him for an instant. Not to mention the classic pick-and-roll & pick-and-pop.
Then you have Kobe and Dwight which speak for themselves. Pau Gasol's mid-range game is beast and Metta can hit the occasional spot up 3 from the corner.
And that's why they're going to be one of the most fun--if not the most fun--teams to watch in the NBA this season.

Just played with the new look Rockets against the Bucks. Harden shut down Ellis (or he didn't know how to use Ellis) and then proceeded to go for 33 points... Harden's money from deep, if you play him tight, his eurostep is cheeseComment

Not true. I find the Heat boring to play with because it's just a stacked team with no real diversity.
I find a certain uniqueness in the new look Lakers this year. With 2 time MVP Steve Nash, 5 time champion Kobe Bryant, and 3 time defense player of the year Dwight Howard - ostensibly the best center in the league.
Best team =/= funnest team. The Lakers are just a fun team.
On another note, the Celtics look pretty fun to play with too. Rajon Rondo is one of the best passers on this game and is a decent close finisher (horrid all around shooter). Then you have people like Garnett and Pierce and tons of new pieces. That's also going to be another fun team to watch this year.Comment

I doubt it. I think they will be nearly as ugly to watch as they have been for the last five years. No one on that starting 5 can run except Dwight. Nash is going to have to go from fast break to exclusively half court basketball. They will be a pound it in the paint team as usual.
If you really want to see a fun team then you can't go wrong with Nuggets or Spurs. They're probably the most entertaining and team-oriented of the NBA.Originally posted by Dogslax41Comment

I played a guy that was 5-0 and he was using the Knicks. I used the Bobcats because I thought I would get more VC if I used them. I ended up winning by 12. The Bobcats aren't bad at all. Kemba is a flat out stud. I often put Kidd-Gilchrist at the 4 and he shut down Stoudemire for the most part (no joke). Tyrus Thomas is great on defense and he dunks over everyone. Matt Carroll has a weird shot, but I still hit everything with him.
The Pistons aren't bad either. Brandon Knight is unconscious from 3 point land along with Stuckey. Greg Monroe is great at the PF spot. Drummond is a 59 OVR but he plays much better than that (but he should be a little better).
If you know how to play defense well, then the Kings are also a good team to use. I'm average on defense but I can put up points with the Kings. Tyreke can get to the bucket easily and Thornton hits everything. Cousins gets every rebound along with Thomas Robinson. You also have a sniper in Jimmer waiting on the bench.
A little off subject, but Terrence Ross on the Raptors is AMAZING on this game. Hits every three and can get to the basket at will and dunk over everyoneComment

Yeah, did you end up utilizing Ben Gordon? He has crazy shooting ratings and with his Microwave skill, he gets hot fast and drains everything. Bradley Beal is also a flat out beast, like Terrence Ross, he drains all his shots and drives past other guards pretty easily for dunks.Comment

Most of the time i'm playing with the Jazz, Bucks or the Timberwolves. Have fun using these 3 teams.
I really like Mo Williams and Brandon Jennings Midrange Jumper and the Frontcourt of the Jazz.
Playing against the Heat or the Lakers and crush them and see them ragequit makes me laugh everytime
