Last question: hows the damage? I remember last year's game you would slam into a wall at 150 and
walk away with a little dent! Has this been fixed?

The damage model is really good. The cars sheet metal bends rather than tear like last year. You will still some tears of the sheet metal. If you hit the wall head on at 150 the car will probably DNF.

I'm going to try and get some videos up for you all by the end of the night. I hope my insight is helpful.

Hey DMoney, have you figured out how to change your paint scheme in Career Mode yet? I tinkered around with it and couldn't get it off the default "Sprint Cup" scheme and/or change my number colors. I made a custom scheme in the paint booth and saved it, but I guess you can only use that for the single races?

This video concerns me. I do not know what setting it is being raced on, but just watching the user fly by the AI cars on the straight away takes away all the fun of racing.

I believe that is default or medium level. I believe they are using some driving assists too. They saved it a couple of times where without assists you should be spinning in the grass. It's happened to me a few times where I pushed the car to much. The only cars you should easily pass when starting in the very back is up to 32nd or 33rd place.

Sorry, I have not even messed with the paint scheme part in the career mode. I've been racing in the Race Now and some of the career races.

What's your take on the Career mode?

I am using ABS assist. The game is still tons of fun, if you like NASCAR at all. Don't worry, the game is challenging enough.

I like it. Reminds me of NASCAR Thunder 2004's career mode.

I have! Hit some while running 8th in my career mode Gatorade Duel race, blew a tire in the next corner, and caused a giant pile-up. I was pissed, amazed, and laughing all at the same time.

The default one when you start. I didn't change anything but some of the assists.

Do you get the opportunity in Career to join existing race teams? Do you develop lasting relationships with other drivers as far as working together in drafting and such?
