    CCM Player XP gains chart

I created a CCM some time ago (at first just to mirror my online league team), in which I simulated every game but played every weekly practice. I tracked the XP gained for my coach and eight players of different positions.

My goal was to find out how much XP players gain from practices (a flat amount for every player regardless of their spot on the depth chart). I put together a Google spreadsheet for those that would like to check out the data behind it. To keep things simple, I'll paste the results below.

Practice / Difficulty / Coach XP gained / Player XP gained
    3rd Quarter Tie / Easy / 1500 / 1000
    10 Point Lead / Easy / 1250 / 500
    Easy Win / Easy / 1800 / 1500
    Cake Walk / Easy / 1100 / 400
    Offense / Normal / 1500 / 1200
    Defense / Normal / 1500 / 1200
    The Grind / Normal / 1300 / 800
    Halftime / Normal / 1400 / 800
    Hold the Lead / Normal / 1000 / 200
    3rd Quarter Rally / Hard / 1500 / 1000
    No Mistakes / Hard / 1000 / 200
    Uphill Battle / Hard / 1300 / 800
    Close Call / Hard / 1150 / 500
    Comeback King / Hard / 1300 / 850
    The Trench / Hard / 1000 / 100
    2 Minute Drill / Hard / 1200 / 800
    Final Stand / Normal / 1100 / 750
    Ain't Over Yet / Hard / 1750 / 1200
    End Zone Protection / Hard / 1000 / 100
    Clutch / Very Hard / 1800 / 1200
    RedZone / Very Hard / 1200 / 600
    Hopeless / Very Hard / 1800 / 1200
    Tough Road / Hard / 1900 / 1300
    Bad Start / Hard / 2000 / 1400
    Circle the Wagons / Very Hard / 2000 / 1500

Perfect, thank you very much. It is hard to understand the logic.

Every player on the roster gains XP. They don't have to touch the field at all.

It's worth noting that some players gain XP from games while never playing as well, though that primarily applies to positions like offensive linemen when they meet weekly goals by crossing a certain threshold in rushing or passing yards and such.

In my opinion, the players that have the toughest time gaining XP are CBs. Very feast or famine. They'll do great if they haul in a ton of INTs, but beyond that, it's more difficult to progress them. Just my opinion.

I appreciate the chart sir. I believe I'll stick with Easy Win from here on out. Max player XP + it's easy. The 200 coach XP isn't worth it to try the Circle the Wagons practice.

Turn WR Catch to 100 and do 2 minute drill every week. At least 16,000XP each season for backups seems about realistic.

Do you know of what players get for XP in games. Like for each completion, tackle, interception, etc. I know they get XP from more than just goals.

Right, I was just about to say this....if you do the practice for 17 weeks, you can get a minimum of 25,000 XP just for players that don't even touch the field

EA might want to think about changing the logic on this going forward though...you would think the harder scenarios would yield the higher XP, easiest the lower XP

                Thanks for this info OP

Well, I'm not touching that slider for my online league. It would make my trade to put Julio Jones and Andre Johnson on the same team pointless.

I don't know that, though. That should be the next thing I investigate. As far as I can tell, players get a measily 10 XP for every tackle, so it's all about meeting those weekly goals and making big plays.

I meant turn it to 100 during practice.

Do you get XP for performance in practice? Or is it simply whether or not you complete the task. Just wondering because that would seem like a good time to work with the young guys.

The CPU teams do not practice, correct?

I m assuming they do not as they progress so slowly.

I don't believe the CPU practices. I've gone through multiple seasons and looked at CPU teams, and I don't get the sense that some players really progress.

As for practice performance, no, players don't get any additional XP for their stats in a practice. It's a flat amount of XP for every player on your roster when completing a practice.
