Probably not, he is just a quick intern for there next game. 2K will probably update the coach when the Lakers sign there long term coach. What I'm wondering is when the Lakers signs a new coach and they continue to run the princeton offense or a new offense will 2Ksports update there playbook and coach tendencies. Probably not though, 2K has the playbook for the Lakers not doesn't really have any Princeton offense plays in there now, just a lot of pick and roll plays....

I hope Jerry Sloan becomes the coach. That pick and roll with Nash, Pau and Dwight would be insane. Then Kobe could dominate when those 3 are off the court.

Wow I was really shocked. I bet they will get Mike D'Antoni since they don't have any good defensive players but D12 and Metta.

Man they didn't even give him a chance the 4 players played like 5 minutes on the floor together! Anyway if you argue that brown really is a bad coach then just look at what LeBron had to deal with for 7 years!

Lol, when I read the news today I just shook my head because I've been saying he was a terrible "head" coach for years. One of the reasons why I think Lebron left and why they could never get past the magic or Celtics. He is a terrible player manger, play calling decisions and he can't motivate anyone. Of course I'm not saying he is the sole reason why Lebron couldn't get a ring in Cleveland, and I'm not turning this into a Kobe vs Lebron debate, I just think he's a terrible head coach that's been fortunate enough to have the two best players this league has seen in the last ten years. That's my opinion.

Sloan couldnt handle Deron hows he gonna handle 4 stars and metta aswell?? please his too old for that ****...

D'Antoni is probably the best fit because of his relationships with nash and kobe but speed ball would not suit these lakers.. and steve nash is not the same player d'antoni used to have over at the suns..

Zen master is the greatest, but i think their are bigger problems to the lakers, firing coach brown was a mistake and the lakers will continue to play poorly early this season.. as much as i dont like the lakers i think kobe deserves 1 more ring, but its not going to happen unfortinately.. Time to wake up people this is the Lebron era, Heat will win again this year..

But I'll chime in. I don't want D'Antoni simply cause defense wins championships, and regardless of his "success" in Phoenix (although they never reached Finals), Lakers need to think about a coach, for now and most importantly, futuristically.

Me personally my top 3 choices are Brian Shaw, Jerry Sloan and Nate McMillian. At some point, this "super team" of the Lakers will die, and we will have moved on from Nash. Which is why D'Antoni to me, would be a 2 year rental simply for "this roster"

D'Antoni's Suns did play good defense, unfortunately the stereotype persists because of the high pace they did play.

The Lakers would not have fired Mike Brown today unless they were in talks with Phil (who has been in Los Angeles since training camp started) the last 48 hours. In all honesty Phil told the Lakers he would tell them in the morning and today must've told Buss he will comeback and then Mike Brown was fired. Trust me, Lakers would not have done this without a firm commitment from the guy top on their list. Jim Buss realized he is not his father and got rid of the center he drafted and the coach he hired and now will swallow his pride and kiss his sisters butt to death so that the coach he didn't want back and the player that isn't tolerating losing can come back and save his butt and the season. By the end of the month this 1-4 start and Mike Brown will be a joke you tell at parties.
