Getting your #1 WR involved in CM

In coach mode, the QB tends to always throw to the TE and slot reciever. Is there a way to get the QB to throw around more without changing my depth chart around each quarter to get my receivers catches?

I noticed that on a lot of the play calls the #1 receiver just runs a streak route which is rarely open so make sure you call a lot of play where the #1 receiver goes over the middle, because that's where the A.I likes to throw.

So after messing around with schemes, I noticed balanced, spread, and vertical schemes seem to get more passes to the WR's as for West Coast, and the running scheme; the QB will pass a lot to the TE, slot receiver, and the HB.

It could just be that the computer loves short stuff, I played against the Chargers recently, and gates had 14 catches for ~140, all of those routes were on hitch or out routes via the stick te option play.
I think they have a spread/balanced offense in the game, Im not sure. But I dont know how it works for coach mode.
