Dropping the ball on the way to the basket...

Anyone ever had this happen to them? A player isn't even close to touching my arms in any way but yet on a layup or a dunk attempt my player just DROPS the effing ball and it goes out of bounds?

This happens to me when I try to bring the ball up court ... at about half court the ball just drops out of my players hands and gets jacked by the CPU. I'm not sure what it is but I think it has something to do with using turbo too much ... if I just walk it up court without any turbo it doesn't happen at all.

Walking the ball up the court is completely different.

I'm talking about a drive to the basket, clear of my defender, and he just drops the ball.

Are you talking about the animation where the ball handler inexplicably loses the ball on the drive and kind of watches the lose ball roll?

i havent had that problem but i get a LOT of my teammates running into me and forcing me to drop the ball, yes, TEAMATES lol

dirk nowitzki and chris kaman are the worst for it.

Not true!

I see it occasionally when the CPU is making a run.

I have seen it happen to Rudy G, Mike Conley, and Z-Bo; no one around them and I mainly see it after a steal.

How often does it happen?

Every time after an inbound after the other team scores WHEN my teammates walk in front of me while I'm dribbling up the court.
They basically cut me off before the halfway line and stop in front of me causing me to run into them and drop the ball.
Happens at walking pace, jogging pace and running pace.

But using logic I just hold the ball till they move and dribble up the opposit side of the court to them.

I notice this happens A LOT whenever you do a spin move. Sometimes the ball hits your player's body or the defense's body then it just drops. I can understand if a big man does some crazy crossover moves, then they should loose dribble easy like that. But come on, a ball handler with above 80 rating shouldn't do that.

It rarely happens to me, but when it does I get annoyed. With that said, that does happen in real life. Someone will be driving and pull off a spin or just go up with the ball and just lose it...so its realistic to have in the game. I have really only noticed it when I try to do too much with guys that don't have great handling though (my PF is really the only guy that this ever happens too)

You don't have to do anything!

Every time I see it I am on a fastbreak not trying to crossover or anything all I want to do is shoot it but the canned animations happen.

I have seen it happen as I am going up for a layup or dunk.

Now in the paint I try to go up near a defender and the canned animations happen and its a turnover.

I also seen it when the defender is beat and when I try to shoot it the CPU slides (canned animations) into good position for this turnover.
