    Toronto Blue Jays Offseason

Here is where you talk about what happens in the offseason with the jays. Like the trades, signing and the new manager. Or you can post what trades you think they should make or what should happen.

We definitely need SP depth... Anyone else wanting Mike Minor?

Cabrera is most likely going to be in the 2 hole per Gibbons' presser today.

                      Here's my lineup

                      Reyes
                      Cabrera
                      Bautista
                      Encarnacion

If we sign Brandon Webb I will die of happiness. Dude NEEDS a third chance. I don't care how bad his arm is it's so low risk and high reward it's ridiculous.

                          There's better FA SP available.

And Rangers gave Webb a chance in the minors in 2011 and he wasn't able to pitch like he used to, so don't see how 1 year would make a difference.

Seeing how Jays added a C to the 40 man roster(brings total to 5C on 40 man roster) really see someone like JP being traded. A 5th starter and a 1B or DH(so that EE plays whichever one of those 2 positions doesn't get filled) is really all we need, maybe more if we could find a steal from a trade, or cheap FA signing.

Still wish this deal happened earlier. I'm sure David Ortiz would have LOVED to sign with Jays if he knew about all that they ended up doing. Team Dominican in Toronto with Bautista,Reyes,EE,Bonifacio. That'd have been a huge sell to get Ortiz to sign here.

I suggest Minor because he has options.

Webb had a procedure, so it could have made a difference, but it's so low risk it doesn't even matter.

You're looking too much into that. Jimenez is a great prospect (better defensively than TDA) and he was Rule 5 eligible.

Are there any FA that'd be good for a DH role? Thome is only guy I can think of, though 2011-2012 wasn't the best for him. But still, I'm sure Jays could sign him for like 1-2M,just to see if he can go for 1 more season.
