SEC Championship Game: #3 Georgia vs. #2 Alabama

I figured there would be 3 or 4 of these from Georgia fans already after last week.

Anyway, this is a BCS semi-final game of sorts as the winner will face Notre Dame in Miami for the BCS Title.

Both teams destroyed their rivals today. Georgia is probably playing better overall right now than Alabama, but hasn't faced as stiff of competition.

Aaron Murray has struggled in big games, but he still worries me. Teams that have had success against Alabama's defense have it because they throw it well. Murray is arguably the best passer that Alabama will face this year, so Georgia may be able to have success on offense.

I don't know if I'll be able to watch the game or not, but I'll surely be following it on my phone if I can't.

It will be an extremely close game imo, and I think Alabama will edge it 17-13

Ha I wanted to make another thread but decided against it . Georgia has the potential to give bama a good game. The questions are if Richt and bobo can out coach saban and smart. If Georgia's line can give Murray time and if Murray will preform well enough to win the big game. I'm not to worried about Georgia's d, bama will score but I believe Georgia's d can give the offense opportunities to win the game. But Richt please do me a HUGE favor..... NO BLACKOUTS!

Georgia needs those freshmen backs to take the pressure off Murray. I really really want Georgia to win, but I think Bama will be too much.

the way I see it, Murray will have to play the game of his life and the defense can't give up big plays in order for us to move on

If Alabama wins this, they go to their 3rd National Championship in 4 years. If Georgia wins, they go to their first National Championship since the Herschel Walker era.

Georgia has a spectacular defense, but the offense needs to step up in this huge game. They were crushed by South Carolina, and the offense didn't do so good against Florida. They don't need to tire their selves out like last year against LSU. They could and hopefully will win.

Alabama has a great defense and offense. Overall, their team is very good. A.J. McCarron is a great QB that is one of the key players in the game for 'Bama. It will be a close game.

I really don't care who wins... I just want to see a good, close matchup. I think Georgia has the skill to keep up with Alabama though.

Alabama receiving the opportunity to play in the title game wasn't really that ridiculous before the game was played, but it was certainly no longer ridiculous by the time the fourth quarter rolled around and LSU was finally crossing the fifty yard line for its only time of the game. If your issue is that you're just absolutely against title game rematches, that's fine. But a system that is designed with the intention of matching up the two best teams in the country shouldn't operate on such absolutes. OK St. was no more worthy of the number two ranking than Alabama, but it certainly could have gone either way.

It's hard to gauge Alabama, they've taken care of business against everyone they were supposed to beat, but they are 1-1 in their big games, with a passing attack seeming to be their weakness.

Georgia has had a slightly tougher schedule to the SEC Championship game IMO. Again though, not a lot to gauge their talent on lately.

Should be a good game, I give the edge to Georgia because of Murray, and what Manziel accomplished against Alabama.

Murray won't be the key to this game. I expect him to get 200ish yards and a TD or two.

The key is limiting the UGA backs. If they have a good game, UGA wins.
