    Chip Kelly in CCM

I came up with the idea to upload Chip Kelly's gameface and take over and build a team in his image. I need the communities help though. I can't decide on what playbook and player schemes/player types to use for him. Any suggestions will help. So far here's what I'm thinkin

Offensive Playbook: ??? (Run'n gun maybe?)
Defensive Playbook: ??? (some variation of a 3-4)

    Offensive scheme: Spread
    Defensive scheme: Zone Blitz 3-4

QB: Balanced (prefers a "throwing QB that can run")
    HB: ??? (speed? receiving? balanced?)
    FB: ???
    WR1: route runner
    WR2: speed
    TE: receiver
    LT: ???
    LG: ???
    C: ???
    RG: ???
    RT: ???

    LE: ???
    DT1: ???
    DT2: ???
    RE: ???
    LOLB: ???
    MLB: ???
ROLB: ??? (3-4 pass rusher possibly?)
    CB1: ???
    CB2: ???
    CB3: ???
    FS: playmaker
    SS: run support

Let me know what you guys think!

    VERY fun idea!

    He's a provocative link:

    Grantland:

As you pointed out, the RNG book might be cool for the Offence...

I'd also consider the Billick (which is meant to represent his record setting uptempo O with MIN in the 90's)...

The key seems to be "tempo / no huddle" tho, which you can run out of any book...

    Once again, cool idea!

Personnel wise, you can also make it a point to sign as many former Ducks for your "system" too...

I'm a huge Ducks fan, so I'll help you out:

QB: Balanced - Speed must be 80+
      HB: Speed, elusive
FB: Ducks don't really have a FB. They use a 2nd HB for a formation that uses a FB. Then the QB motions the "FB" as a WR.
WR1: Depends, (Ducks really dont have a #1 or 2 on their roster. So any WR would work.
      WR2: Depends
      TE: Receiver
      LT: Run Block
      LG: Run Block
      C: Balanced
      RG: Run Block
      RT: Run Block

      LE: Run Stopper
      DT: Balanced
      RE: Pass Rusher
      LOLB: Pass Coverage
      MLB 1: Run Stopper
      MLB 2: Balanced
      ROLB: 3-4 Pass Rusher
      CB1: Any
      CB2: Any
      FS: Playmaker
      SS: Run support

If you don't mind, where did you get a gameface of Chip Kelly? I might do this as well.

I'd go with the Panthers offensive playbook. They have a lot of option plays out of the shotgun.

          Here's the image I used http://www.google.com/imgres?q=chip+...r:15,s:0,i:146

Just save it to your computer and plug it into the gameface generator (don't upload a side view)

As for the receivers, I'm not really sure what to do. I know I want to make one of the WRs in a speed role (to be my Bralon Addison) but I can't really decide what to characterize the other WR as. I want him to be in the Josh Huff mold. Would you consider that to be more of a route runner or a possesion receiver?

The other issue I had is at corner. Do Terrance Mitchell and Ifo Ekpre-Olomu usually play man to man? I was thinking I'd just set the corners as balanced

Yeah, I guess Bralon would be a speed role, and he is the 2nd WR.

I would say Josh Huff is balanced. He can run a solid route and he's a decent possesion WR.

As for the CB's, they play lots of zone, unfortunately. So they're zone CB's. Unless you don't want to do that, then you can use balanced.

How does it look in game though? I had a Belichik that looked great on the website but didn't look anything like it in game.

Redskins and Panther playbooks are your best bet. Redskins have a lot of read option and designed QB runs out of the shot-gun. I have been using the redskins playbook and in the OS Vets Online franchise was able to throw for over 4000 yards with RGIII (over 600 rushing as well) and run for over 1,200 with Roy Helu Jr. They have a nice mix of read option PA passes too.

                    Re: Chip Kelly in CCM

Offensive Playbook: Carolina is your best bet. Essentially every shotgun formation has an option play or PA Read. Still feels limited, but it's as close as you'll get.
Defensive Playbook: I would say Baltimore. They have some traditional 3-4, including the Predator, along with a 4-3 formation. Nick Aliotti tends to mix it up formation-wise.

                    Offensive scheme: Spread
                    Defensive scheme: Zone Blitz 3-4

QB: QBs like RGIII are ideal. Solid passers that just so happen to be tremendous athletes. Or for CK nostalgia, snag Dennis Dixon and pick up where those two left off.
HB: Speed all the way. Once those gaps open up, you want a back that will burst through the hole and instantly challenge the safeties. You're going to be averaging high YPC. A duo like CJ2K and LaMike would make a triple option in the split too scary.
FB: No FB necessary. The closest CK gets to using a FB is putting a TE in the split formation, and that's not too often.
WRs: Speed is preferable, but also getting someone with possession traits is nice. Also, take a look at his run blocking ability. Oregon heavily relies on it's receivers being able to hold their own outside.
TE: Primarily look for blockers with moderate speed. Someone like Martellus Bennett is a good fit.
O-Line: Look for run blockers, but also take a glance at their speed. Oregon's linemen are known for being able to get to the next level very well.

                    LE: 3-4 Run Stopper.
                    DT1: Nose Tackle/Pass Rusher
                    RE: 3-4 Run Stopper
                    LOLB: 3-4 Pass Rusher/Prototype
MLB: 3-4 Tackler. Make sure to look for ones with good block shedding ability. Kiko Alonso blitzes a lot, and he is very good at shedding blocks.
ROLB: 3-4 Pass Rusher (Maybe as a backup have a prototype LB like Lance Briggs, who could go in both a 4-3 and 3-4)
CBs: Make sure they're good in the zone, but I think Oregon also plays in zone to slightly compensate for their inability to always stay tight in man, so this is more of an optional one.
                    FS: Playmaker/Run Support
                    SS: Playmaker/Run Support

                    Hope that helps!

As a hard core Oregon fan, I find the use of "punch" in this line highly ironic and amusing. Thank you, whether intentional or otherwise.

Reality aside, I strongly advise against using this set up. Pass Rushing from the ROLB is pretty much useless in Madden, DeMarcus Ware at ROLB won't beat a second stringer LT with any kind of regularity, that dynamic seems to be completely broken so you absolutely need your LOLB to be your premium pass rusher and your RT to be your best pass blocker.

It doesn't make any sense, but that's just how it works in M13.

who is more fit for an oregon ducks TE vernon davis or jason witten?

i started a draft last night and was doing good. i drafted all offense as i can use lower rated players on defense and do fine. bad thing is somehow when i paused the draft it didnt really pause and i didnt notice and the CPU drafted me ronde barber and a bunch of other old players that didnt fit the scheme similar to the ducks. gonna try doing a draft again but the team i had was

                              RG3
                              trent richardson
alfred morris(i wanted demarco murray but he was picked right before)
no FB(was planning on playing richardson or morris at FB)
                              calvin Johnson
                              Julio Jones
                              jacoby ford
vernon davis(i drafted him but in the back of my mind witten kept seeming like the better option)
                              trent williams
                              carl nicks
marshall yanda(there wasnt any centers left that i liked)
                              jahri evans
bryan bulaga(wanted oher but he was gone)

also with HB my plan is to draft lamichael james as my number 3 and play it like last years ducks where richardson and morris are james and barner and then james would be more deanthony thomas

                              Thoughts?
