North Texas got their first signing of the season.
WR Derek Lambert 4* 69(haven't completed scouting yet). from Raceland,LA
Speed 90, Hands 72, Acc 87. He is projected to start opposite of Harper to give the team a nice starting young reciever duo. Whoever starts at QB next year, will have more options than the last year and this year at WR.

Gem 4 star possession WR Joel Coleman signed with the Hilltoppers last week. Bringing unspectacular speed but great all around receiving skills and decent size, the Kentucky native will see the field as a freshman for WKU.

FIU grabbed 4-star Punter Nigel Jones, who will very likely be redshirted next season to allow him a full 4 years to start.

North Texas has been going through some struggles as well, had to stop going after a few guys. Coach has signed a few more guys to help with depth in the last few weeks.

WR 68(+2) Will Ford 6'1 will compete for 3rd/ 4th WR spot.
FB 67(+9) Davon Davis will be the first true FB that NT has had in years.
TE 65(+5) Mike Jackson is a pass catching TE with a good speed TE to add another passing threat. Not sure where on depth chart he will end up, but he'll play 1st or 2nd TE.

Minnesota is realizing they have a long way to go to get to the level of big boys in the Big Ten conference. starting 2-1, they have lost 5 in a row vs one tough competitor after another.

That being said, confident with recruiting as several recruits show promise and if they sign with the Golden Gophers, things can turn around quickly.

The Hilltoppers made a big move this week, out dueling FIU for the nation's #3 prospect, #1 HB Lorenzo Johnson. They also picked up a soft commit from the #2 prospect, #1 QB Kevin Williams. We have faced no competition for the country's #11 prospect, 5 star WR Mike Davis, and he looks to commit in the next couple of weeks.

                ImageUploadedByTapatalk1354727898.156846.jpg

The Hilltoppers class is currently ranked 13th, with one 5 star, one 4 star, and six 3 stars.

FIU took some hits in recruiting this week, losing the nation's #1 rated QB to WKU. They did however manage to snag highly touted 4-star MLB Brian Myrick and 4-star DT Yusef Miller. MLB was an area of huge concern for this class, and the addition of Myrick is a step in the right direction. Coach Megatron is expecting a few more pieces to fall into place in the coming weeks.

North Texas has announced several more signings

3 * CB Jayson Smith from Paris, TX
2 * DT Nicholas Smith for Big Spring, TX

Coach is hoping that some guys that they have a big lead on will go ahead and sign before the offseason.

UMass signed only their 3rd recruit this year in getting the commitment from 4 star Defense End Evan Davis this week, but they got their 3rd player who should start next year as a Freshmen and fill significant voids. They also signed their 2nd 6'8" Defense End this class, teaming the 262 pound Davis(80+3) with 4 star 242 pound Dane Kane(78-1). With their size, strength and speed (Davis: 81 str, 83 spd/Kane:83 str, 73 spd), the two giants should be able to make their presence felt by opposing QB's for awhile in Amherst.
UMass also started off slow last year only to finish with the #14 class. They look to finish strong again this year.

The Western Kentucky class has surged to #3 in the nation on the heels of several huge commits over the past several weeks.

The top QB recruit in the country. Kevin Williams. ImageUploadedByTapatalk1355093592.102239.jpg

Extreme gem CB Chris Moore (+13!?!) ImageUploadedByTapatalk1355093683.552524.jpg

Another gem at CB, #10 recruit at the position Eric Hayden ImageUploadedByTapatalk1355093736.263423.jpg

4 star DE out of their nemesis' backyard, Nicholas Ferguson from Florida ImageUploadedByTapatalk1355093808.053395.jpg

The Hilltoppers plan to add several more 4/5 star recruits and gems before next season begins. There is no doubt in Bowling Green, KY, as to whose class will be ranked #1 in the country on national signing day- WKU.

after weeks of non-signings, Minnesota has their first committment to the next season. OT Greg Hinds is a 4 star calibar tackle that will fit in nicely with the new system Minnesota plans on using. I have no doubt that Minnesota will be near the top when this recruiting class is done and this will spark changes to the big ten football landscape. The goal is the Rose Bowl for the golden gophers and the goal is in reach.
