MyPlayer/MyCareer Spin Dunk - How do you do it?

I know this is possible as I have seen a couple players do it on Online Blacktop.

But I can't for the life of me figure out how to do it!!

I bought the animation packages, equipped them, and still no spin dunk.

keep in mind that ALL my attributes are maxed out. i mean ALL.

What kind of player did you make? I think 3 point specialists can't do spin dunks.

I have one maxed out defensive PF, one maxed out athletic PG, one maxed out Point Forward.

ALL. CANT. DUNK.

Hold R2, get in the paint with the left stick facing towards the basket, press circle twice and square.

For a 360 be on a fast break, double tap circle at the free throw line and the animation takes over.

i know which buttons to press, i do it from time to time with lebron/gay/derozan/etc.

but with myplayer, it just doesn't trigger.

I had this problem until I bought one of the spin dunk packages. I did upgrade my dunk rating at the same time though so I can't say for sure that's it.

just to make it clear, my player can't spin dunk and can't dunk alley oop passes in Online Blacktop. In regular MyCareer games, he can and does frequently. What gives?

so guys, any more suggestions?

I don't know about your attributes but my athletic sg can't do spin dunk before 99 dunk and highlight film, after the upgrades now he can do on both my career and blacktop games

Get your dunking ability over 85, purchase spin dunk package, equip Posterizer signature skill....The spin dunk isn't a dunk you can perform at will like in past 2k games...Its more or less a situational dunk. Like for instance, if you have a defender or two in front of you and (xbox 360) you double tap the B button, you might one of three things:

A Spin Dunk

A 360 dunk(if you have that dunk package equipped)

or a Spin layup

It's all situational, and depends on the angle you do it on the court.

Athletic SF, 90 dunk, 99 vertical, with posterizer and with Two Hand Spin Dunk equipped. I can't do it! I have tried double tap B: Nothing. Double tap B+press X: Nothing. Went to shootaround to try it alone: Nothing.

What should I do?

Yeah get that up i notice a lot of dunkers have say 85 dunk along with 75 standing dunk need both

I had the same problem with my 3-pt specialist SF. try to get a POSTERIZER skill.

Ok so lets clear this up the posterizer skill does not improve the chances of success on your dunks neither does Highlight Film. Those sig skills provide stamina bonuses to your teammates on completion of dunks and contact dunks, respectively.

Things that do affect your dunk success are obviously your dunk rating and the Finisher signature skill. The higher the dunk rating the farther from the basket you can initiate a dunk as apposed to a lay up. Also the Finisher signature skill directly affects the chance of contact dunks as well as layups by up to 30% depending on the level applied.

Standing Dunk seems to be the most important attribute affecting your ability to spin and dunk as it is essentially a dunk with relativly little momentum.
