    Cutter plays // Offense strategy

What cutter plays are you guys using the most?

I play with the blazers and I'm strugling to get batum to the rim. I'm looking foward to plays that end with a slasher dunk or alley op, but I'm not very lucky with those kind of plays. I always end up turning over the ball from bad passes.

And also, do you guys use the offense strategy quick play calling? How and when do you choose from any of those options?

When you run those plays dribble towards Batum and try bounce passes. Seems to be quicker than in air passes.

Bobcats playbook, 21 Handoff cutter. Works 75 percent of the time. Since I'm here, anyone know a play that gets people a corner 3?

I run the 2-3 Killer a lot, keeps guys in the corners and always wind up with a lay up or corner 3. It works against man because the guys covering the corners have to help. This is how Novak gets 95% of his points with me

Thanks for the tip, I'll try it later.

To get corner 3's I'm using "End 21 Trey". Can't remind from wich playbook though. I always get great looks with Mathews and Batum with this one.

Look under the blazers pb. Theres a ton of cutter plays that actually worked. Like others have said you gotta dribble towards the cutter and use a bounce pass. I get a lotof easy layups with batum this way. Only issue is alleyoops i still have trouble getting those off.

What about the offensive strategies. How do you use them in your game?

I only use space the floor when the infiltrations aren't working.

CLE 15 Alley and Philly's alley play are really the only ones that work. VannwolfHawk has good playbooks that you can find they plays that work well.

CAVS ALLEY is a favorite but not the best.

I also like SUNS ALLEY and PENNY ALEY play found in the old school magic play book.

They key as to all plays is decpetion and not telegrapging your intentions...also pass to a dude with a high alley oop/dunk/vertical rating.

A nice speed rating doesnt hurt either.

I'm curious about these settings as well...

On PS3, when you hit D Pad Left you have these additional options:

                      X: Space the Floor
                      O: Screen Shooters
                      []: Leak Out
                      ^: Collapse and Rebound
                      L2: Coach Default

I have a pretty good idea of what these options are INTENDED to do, but:

                      1) Which ones do you guys use / feel are effective

                      2) Which ones (if any) don't work well and should be avoided?

I tried to play around with these in Association Scrimmage, but those options don't come up on the D Pad in that mode...

The answer is it depends on what your opponent is doing. Every game will be different.

Haven't figured this out about playbooks. What is the purpose of having 20-30 plays? Even if you go to "Assign Plays" and you make them all P&R, it will have the same play 4 times (as opposed to 4 different P&R plays).

                            What am I missing here?
