New Throwback Uniforms for 13
Since looking at the new Astros uniforms video from the Show, it looks like the 1970 Astors uniforms are in since they weren't in last year. Previous the Show had the Astros Colt 45 uniforms and the Rainbow color uniforms with the wrong color batting helmets. Will SCEA add more Throwbacks like the Brooklyn Dodgers, New York Giants, 83 White Sox, 89 Indians etc..Proud season ticket holder for the Oklahoma City ThunderTags: None -
Re: New Throwback Uniforms for 13
absotively!
We need more throwbacks. Seems like other games (Madden, NHL, NBA 2k) all have more throwbacks than the Show. I don't know if it's because of memory limitations or what the reason is, but the Show seems to have only two sets per team (throwback and throwback old, home and away). Problem is, with some of the teams, there isn't much difference between throwback and throwback old. If they're limited to those two slots, they need to vary the choices by picking a throwback old that is much different than the regular throwback.
Also, if they're able to get the Expos unis in there, they should give the Senators unis to the Twins or Rangers, since the Nationals were never the Senators.
You could say the same about switching the Pilots from the Mariners to the Brewers, but I wouldn't want them to remove any of the Brewers cool throwbacks just to make room for the Pilots. It's on me. I shook his hand too hard. It was a hard ... kind of a slap-shake.

I don't think Brooklyn uniforms will happen. They used to be in The Show but were taken out because SCEA lost the license. Same reason Ebbets Field has never been in the game as a classic stadium.Comment

Re: New Throwback Uniforms for 13
The promising part of the astros uniform trailer is that it shows three different sets of throwbacks which is more than what could have been allowed in the uniform selections of the previous Mlb the shows with only 2 slots for throwbacks. Hopefully this means they will now have not only more uniforms but also display them by the years they were worn.NFL: ST. LOUIS RAMS
NHL: NEW JERSEY DEVILS
MLB: NEW YORK METS
NBA: BROOKLYN NETS
NCAA: RUTGERS SCARLET KNIGHTS, TOWSON TIGERS

Re: New Throwback Uniforms for 13
I know for sure that the Nationals should have the Homestead Grays uniforms, as they've worn them once or twice every year the past 4-5 seasons.Cleveland Cavaliers
New England Patriots
Chicago Blackhawks
Washington Nationals
Chelsea FC

Re: New Throwback Uniforms for 13
Like I said before, I wish games had a specific amount of throwback jerseys for each team. And make sure that the throwback isn't one that looks exactly the same as their current one(but just a shade lighter or darker). Giants are one example. They've had like 4-5 diff road jerseys since 94,but there is very minimal difference over the years. Only difference is really just the shade, and diff logo on shoulders. Yet somehow, that gets counted as throwback jersey...
Since people will likely just name throwback jerseys for their own teams, I'll list for mine then.
Jays:
The jerseys they wore when winning the WS
Their late 90s jersey(worn by guys like Clemens,D.Wells,Delgado,Green ect.)
Their black jerseys(worn by guys like Halladay,V.Wells, and Bautista during his crazy HR season)
Like others said, I wouldn't mind Nats having Expos jersey as alternate. It seems like people forget that Nats used to be Expos. The only alternates the Nats seem to have, is from the previous Washington baseball team.Comment

The thing is that the Nationals have gone out of their way to get rid of their Expos past. The old Senators jerseys don't really go to any team. The Twins and the Rangers both have established identities and their own history for unique uniforms. The only place they could go is in Washington. Furthermore, (and I might be fuzzy on my history but I believe myself to be correct) when the Expos moved to Washington the Rangers still owned the identity through tom hicks. I believe the rights to a lot of identity sets including the curly "W" were sold back to them back in the late 2000's.Rangers - Cowboys - Aggies - Stars - Mavericks

Re: New Throwback Uniforms for 13
That's a possibly but they also show a new throwback with the 70's shooting star design. It also to me seems a bit pointless for them to render last years jerseys for a trailer and not include them in a game but everything is up in the air as of now. The only part of the trailer that worries me is that the colt .45 throwbacks, which were in last year, are not shown in the trailer.NFL: ST. LOUIS RAMS

I think the reason behind this (and if I'm wrong I would like to hear from the SCEA guys) is that when they do the throwbacks for franchise mode, it picks the same set for both teams. That way you don't get say the 90's Rangers vs. the 70's Twins. Another thing is that for the older teams, the second alternate doesn't have nameplates for any team. That would explain why the Rangers don't have NOBs for their 70's uniforms.
