    Seriously considering putting a halt to this project. As usual, it appears EA's shotty implementation of the IR into franchise is causing various glitches and bugs. Just to name a few:

    - Practice in franchise is not working properly. It locks up while at the loading screen for all teams. I assume the reason for this is that practice mode doesn't take into account the IR and is seeing the roster as overloaded.

    - Games involving teams having more than 8 players on the IR are unplayable, and cannot be simmed. The IRs have to be manually cutdown using the editor, because the game will not let you release a player on the IR.

    - Finally, EA's stupid minimum roster requirement. This one thing tells me how little these developers really know about how the rosters work. This issue just screams incompetence.

    I am going to keep working on it and keep you guys up to stat on my progress

        I wanted to get the depth charts matched up to what they are today. However, it doesn't look like that is going to be possibility. I have a decision to make. Do I want to keep the players on the IR on the roster, or do I remove them to make room for the new signs? Keep in mind some of these players on the IR, while being big names, haven't played a down this year.

        Big decision to make here. I will get the roster out either way though. Anyone have any ideas on how they think the rosters should look and what players should be on them?

          Ok, so madden has a roster cap of 55 and some teams have more than that? So you opt to put then on IR? Explain why your putting then on Ir and what madden does to mess it up

            Are you making a roster file or a franchise file?

              Madden 12 has a roster cap of 55 true, but they implemented an IR, which technically means that once a player is added to the IR, it frees a roster slot for a replacement, while allowing me to keep the injured player on the team. So in theory, with a working IR, I would be able to add most of the new signings while keeping the important players on the team. Without the IR, I have to pick and choose which players to release and which to keep.

              Now I have to make a choice... Do I want to make the rosters look more as they did week one, or do I cut the injured players and make them look more as they did yesterday?

                  Interesting. I know for a fact some of my teams in my franchise are below the required limit and I can still play and sim the games. How are you putting players on and of IR?

                      Being below the required limit doesn't cause the issue, exceeding the 55 player cap causes the glitch. Beyond that, If the number of players on the IR exceeds 8, the game pukes.

                        That's another thing, I know just about all my teams are over the limit because if a player is on IR, I didn't take them off the roster, I just changed them to a punter and usually signed another player (thru the editor) to take his spot.

                          So in other words, not using the M12 default IR list (or just not having anyone on IR) makes the game poop?

                          If that's the case, then I guess choose the least important players on each time to take off so that everyone is maxed out at 55 and no ones on IR.

                          I've read about some issues with UDAs and the roster, could you elaborate? I am pretty tech savy, especially with coding, so if I could maybe get all the problems that cause the game to act different then regular M12 franchise, that would be appreciated. Thanks for the work man.

                            I think I have a solution. Early on in my project I did have a freezing issue. If you auto reset the depth chart for each team in-game, it might fix your problem.

                              Yes, the UDA is another one that is easily fixed by taking control of all 32 teams and manually doing your cuts during the preaseason. Thankfully, EA made them pretty easy to pick out. They are the rookie players with portraits. So, if I am going to be unable to use the IR to create accurate rosters, I guess I am going to have to resort to making the rosters with the injured, important players, which most likely won't leave room for some of the more recent signings.

                                Well, I can get the games to play as long as neither team has an IR exceeding 8 players, but for some reason, I cannot get franchise practices to work. They lock up when loading.
