Myplayer: Would you rather not have a nickname?

I know the announcers can say most of our names I just hate the nicknames. I really do and I wish I could choose not to have a nickname so the announcer can just say my name. I am not saying for 2k to get rid of nicknames I just wish we had the option of not having one.

Yeah I agree there should atleast be an option for no nickname, but it's not that big of a deal. My name isn't pronounced in the game, and I just use the nickname Clutch. haha.

Yes, this needs to be an option for sure. Completely takes away from the realism of the game. Nicknames only is not realistic. Especially since the home PA announcer always says the nickname.

If they could find a way to make it not seem so choppy. If I choose the nickname "the eraser" I don't just want it said randomly. I'd prefer they yell it when I actually get a block.

don't care since I don't even pay attention to them saying my name. What I want is my player to not play out of position. Tired of seeing my 7'1 center playing SF.

Im not making it a huge deal just suggesting it could be an easy thing to fix, kinda under the radar. The announcers say my name all the time and it flows pretty smoothly and really makes me feel a connection in the game, but when they talk about me and say my nickname it just makes me feel disconnected, as though im not a real player if that makes any sense. My nickname is Mr. Incredible so when they say that you canb understand how it just feels weird, but really i have no choice but to choose a nickname and thats really what I want changed.

Yeah this annoys me as well. My name is in the game, I haven't done enough to deserve being referred to by my nickname all of the time. Maybe when you are in the league a few years.

You would think after 4 years this huge key problem would had BEEN fix.

I'd be happier if we could choose our secondary position...

Simply put... YES! I feel like such a dork when I'm playing the game and its just like "The Monster makes the shot." It sounds so dumb, in my opinion.

I would prefer it if the announcers could say my name, but they can't, so I'd rather be "The Cobra" than "Number 17"

I agree. They used to say my name on the past 2k's and now this year they say "The Beast" and it doesn't sound right.

They should just say player's name. I actually prefer they say my number as opposed to my nickname every time.

At this point, if the PA announcer just said our real names, I would be happy. That way, we can turn commentary off from time to time so we don't have to hear the nicknames so much
