    Regen Players

I've seen on other boards people posting regen players.

From what I understand a regen's name on my career will be different than yours.

But will the season the player comes into the free agent market be the same for everybody?

Can people please post the players they find here, or better yet give a website that has the info? I've looked everywhere but all I find is forum post with people giving paragraphs of useless info. I'm looking for the following info:

    season:
    name:
    age
    height:
    position:
    overall:
    country:

    Here's Mine:

    season: 2nd
    name: Olberdam da Silva Tavares
    age: 17
    height: 6'4"
    position: CB
    overall: 64
    country: Brazil

    Re: Regen Players

it will be totally different. yours, and mine.
    i've posted mine here,
    http://www.operationsports.com/forum...post2044514284

and a lil bit of explaination there.

hmm, not sure how to start explaining things to you.

what you have to do, is seek out players that retiring. Lets say, Beckham.
after he retires, thre will be a new youngsters popped up in his team
(LA Galaxy), IF the team's rating need balancing. If not, the youth player will be available as a free agent.

cant give u names and so on as u pleases, because your beckham's regen is different with my beck's regen. Diff height, weight, diff star on skills and weak foot, diff stats and diff name.

New Beckham are not necessarily be good in free kicks as beckhams did.

However, the only thing that remains the same, are the OVR potentials, and their nationality.

A new Messi can grow up to 96, the same as the old Messi. Only the OVR potentials, and their nationality.

    hope it helps.

Is there a way to see who is retiring each season without manually searching?

i believe there arent any. different players have different retiring age. so far, most of the players ive seen, retire about the age, at least 33. Cristiano in my game retired at 35.

certain players like friedel, gerrard, giggs, scholes, retire a little later than other.

you have to keep track on their transfer tho. If lampard moves to Madrid and retire there, he'll regen in madrid, not chelsea.

Best way to do it is at the beginning of every transfer window, just search for players 17-19 with an ovr of 70 or better. If that young player is on a team already and it says "this player has just joined this team and won't move again" or w/e when you go to buy him, just wait until January transfer window and you'll likely be able to get him then.

Most of the time you'll get them cheap too, cause it seems they don't sign long term contracts with said team until they're 18 or 19.

Yes, this is another way of confirming whether he is a regenerated player or not. Their remaining contracts will be depicting in negative value.

                    Re: Regen Players

Is there a bit of strategy with this? Should I consider trying to acquire via transfer some particular older skilled players? The argument would be that they probably could be had on the cheap (player value declines as they get older), I would need to pay their salary (high?) for one (or two) season(s), and then I would be rewarded with a talented young player after the original player retires.

Some concerns ... (1) Is it even possible to transfer a "potentially retiring" player to your own team? I thought that you would get the message about "this player is about the retire soon" and then you would not be able to complete a transfer for him. (2) Does the regen idea only work if the player retires while on the roster of his original (or equally high-star) team? If he retires while on my 2.5 star roster - will my team receive a regen player for the following season?

Or is it instead that I should just always be on the lookout in future seasons for faceless young players with good stats that appear on the rosters of some of the more prestigious teams? And then try to orchestrate the traditional transfer of the regen player at that time?

Following closely ... thanks for the interesting discussion ...

                    ---

A couple years ago (maybe it was FIFA11) I am pretty sure that I picked up the Drogba regen from Chelsea ... I think he was listed as a ST and he was 17 and his overall was 71 ... the new name was "Fae" ... he did well for my career mode team. Nice.
New to FIFA23 ... did not care for FIFA22 ... after having played FIFA19 for the previous three years!

OP, if you still care, your regen is probably Lucio.

I found a regen in the free agent pool, 60 something OVR central midfielder with potential to be special at age 18. Right after my first season. The weird part: he's from Iceland :O

Any idea who that might be?

Iceland? LMAO. No idea. If you google Iceland/pro soccer whoever pops up I'm sure that's who it is. Can't imagine being more than 1 or 2 possibilities.

That's an interesting idea. Before I knew about regen players I've had players on my team that if you go to the "squad report" it says "player retiring at the end of season."

I guess theoretically you could sign a bunch of over the hill players and see what happens. Just sign them in the first transfer window and then sim the rest of the season.
