99 Dunk with Posterizer signature skill but CAN'T DUNK?!?!?!?

I have a scorer PG/SG with a 99 dunk rating and the Posterizer signature skill but even on a wide open after steal fastbreak he wont even ATTEMPT to smash it! Is there anything I can do besides starting over??

Hopefully you've been using the turbo button, lol (but I doubt that's the problem). Do you have a dunk package set on your guy?

Use Highlight dunk instead of posterizer. Thats just to make your guy always go for contact dunks instead of contact layups(which doesn't make much sense to have when there isn't any contact downlow in this game.) Highlight dunk always makes him go for the most spectacular dunk in any situation. That could help.

had the same issue with my sf/pf. even with posterizer and 95 dunk/99 vert, he would only lay it in, even off lobs. maxed out hands/stamina, then bought more dunks. now he dunks when i wasn't even trying.

I felt like a fool when my player's dunking attribute was high and I forgot to equip a dunk package. Lucky for you, dunk packages are pretty cheap.

Thats why Im glad this site exist and NO I do not have dunk package equipped. Im kind of new to this MyPlayer so I didnt know I had to. Thanks to all for all the help now I cant wait til I hop on to see what dunk package Im going to equip to em. THANK YOU!

You don't need to equip a dunk package to dunk.
He's either not using turbo or he's too short or his vertical is low.
Dunk is not the only rating needed to dunk.
Stamina, speed, vertical, shoot in traffic etc all effect dunking.

False. Loll You do need a dunk package equipped I had Dunk at 85, Vertical 90, and 6'4 and couldn't even dunk wide open in practice. But I could do 360s in game once I equipped a dunk package

I got the standard dunks and the Jordan package. Do I need to put that one first?

The first slot is labeled something like "Go-To Package". These are the dunks a player is most likely to attempt if in the correct situation.
