All rookies have same scheme in scouting
I am in my 8th season of a offline CCM, and the past two drafts all corners were 4-3 types..... no 3-4, tampa 2 or anything else. I run attack 3-4 and every corner in two years of scouting was base 4-3, very wierd. Anyone else had this happen to them or does anyone know why?Tags: None -

Yep, year 3 in mine and every defensive end is a 3-4 attacking. I was looking for pass rushers so a 3-4 end wasn't really what I was looking for. Pretty annoying -
Re: All rookies have same scheme in scouting
There is not a good variety of the different style types, as most offensive players are Balanced Offense and most defensive players are Base 4-3.
In M14 they need to reduce the number of styles because Base 4-3, Attacking 4-3, and Tampa 2 are almost the same and scheme setup should dictate the differences (like Cover 2 LBs for Tampa 2 strategy).
There should just be 4-3 and 3-4, and maybe Hybrid.
Offenses can be pared down too, as Zone Run and Power Run should be one "Running Offense" style and then o-line plus RB schemes should be designed for either a zone or power offense.Comment

Re: All rookies have same scheme in scouting
I hardly scout scheme at all anymore. It's more about player type for fitting into schemes. It doesn't really matter if you have a 4-3 corner in a 3-4 scheme as long as the player type matches up. Certain positions (3-4 DL, edge rushers, etc.) you need to know their scheme but for the most part I just pay attention to their attributes and you get a fairly good idea of what type of player they are.Comment
