    Re: Official NBA2K13 Association Thread

I started an Association with the Phoenix Suns... Started off by getting rid of Jared Dudley, Luis Scola, and a 1st Rd. Pick for Anthony Davis... (I know, VERY unrealistic.) Won my first game on a buzzer beater from Goran Dragic, but unfortunately he got traded as well. I ALSO traded Marcin Gortat & that Morris guy for Greg Monroe. Shannon Brown & Michael Beasley are some beasts btw.
But, I got the 2nd pick in the draft, due to getting the Magic's pick. Somehow, Myck Kabongo went first to the Hawks, so Shabazz Muhammad fell straight into my arms. (: I
I picked up D.J. Augustin, and J.J. Hickson in Free Agency, so my lineup is like

    PG: Eric Bledsoe/DJ Augustin/Kendall Marshall
    SG: Shabazz Muhammad/Shannon Brown
    SF: Michael Beasley/Wesley Johnson/PJ Tucker
    PF: Anthony Davis/Channing Frye
    C: Greg Monroe/JJ Hickson/Luke Zeller

I didn't completely tear apart the team, but... yea, it's wayyy improved.

For some reason i dont think this...I offered Rondo, Pierce, KG, Bradley for Davis+3 worst players (just to see if they would take it...didnt actually want it) and they declined lol...then i tried clicking davis name in trade finder and said no offers available, hence seeming to me hes not available

            Re: Official NBA2K13 Association Thread

I haven't updated in awhile... After a fierce race for third seed in the East, I ended up with a tie breaker over Indiana and one game ahead of Brooklyn. I faced Milwaukee in the 1st round and beat them in 6.

Philly knocked off the 2 seed, Chicago, so I faced them in the second round. The series was tied at 2 games a piece going in to game 5. Despite being down by 10 in the 4th I came out of that game with a 95-91 win. Game 6 was very similar to game 5. I was down 8-9 points in the 4th, but battled back to get the win 94-87.

Now I'm off to face the 1 seed Miami. Lebron is hurt (not out, but injured), so if I can hold DWade and Bosh in check, I may have a chance. Out West the 1 seed OKC is taking on the 6th seed Denver. OKC came back from a 3-0 hole against Minnesota in the Western Conference Semifinals.

With two of my stars getting up there in age, this could be my best chance to win the title. It's going to be a tough road though.

Got the game today and I'm starting my Pistons Association right now. Looking forward to this, as I skipped over last year's game.

Boston Celtics Association - Year 1:
OK, Im starting another Celtics Dynasty and I feel like this one will be very fun. 14 Games, 7 Min Quarters, Injuries on, Playing every game, Pro difficulty, default sliders. I am currently 3-1 with my loss coming to the Knicks. I ran into injury trouble which will be explained below. Ive made a couple trades, so let me get everyone caught up:

                Depth Chart:
                PG: Rajon Rondo, Darius Morris
                SG: DeMar DeRozan, JR Smith
SF: Paul Pierce, Steve Novak, Josh Howard (SG/SF)
PF: Thomas Robinson, Brandon Bass (PF/C), Dante Cunningham
                C: Kevin Garnett, Chris Wilcox
RES: Fab Melo, Jeremy Pargo, Roger Mason

                Trades:
                - Celtics trade Terry, Green, Sullinger, Joseph to SAC for Robinson, Thornton, Garcia

                - Celtics trade Bradley, Garcia, '13 1st Pick, '14 1st Pick to NYK for Smith, Novak, Copeland, '13 1st.

                - Celtics trade Thornton, Barbosa, Lee, '13 1st Pick (Knicks) to TOR for Derozan, Pietrus, Kleiza, Lucas.

                - Celtics trade Lucas, Copeland, '12 2nd Pick, '13 2nd Pick to LAL for Morris, Ebanks

                - Celtics trade Collins, Kleiza to NOH for Mason

                - Celtics trade Pietrus to MIN for Howard, Cunningham

                - Celtics trade Ebanks to CLE for Pargo

                * Yes, I know a lot of trades, but I wanted to get a nice roster I felt good about. We lost Bass for 2 games Smith for 1, Wilcox for 1, so in the game against Philly only had Novak, Cunningham, Howard off the bench. Ill show the 4 games and the stats from my team, but will giving updates as games happen with summary and full stats for the rest of the games.

                Game 1: Boston 90, Brooklyn 77:
                Derozan - 20pts 2ast 1stl
                Robinson - 16pts 8reb
                Pierce - 16pts 4ast 2reb
                Garnett - 11pts 9reb 1blk
                Bass - 8pts 1reb
                Smith - 8pts 1ast
                Rondo - 6pts 7ast 1stl
                Novak - 5pts 2reb

                Game 2: Boston 96, New York 100:
                Pierce - 30pts 3ast
                Derozan - 20pts 3reb 2ast
                Robinson - 17pts 10reb 5ast
                Smith - 9pts 2ast
                Garnett - 9pts 7reb 1stl
                Novak - 5pts
                Rondo - 4pts 10ast 2reb 1stl

                Game 3: Boston 88, Orlando 63:
                Derozan - 18pts 9reb 1blk
                Pierce - 17pts 4reb 2ast
                Smith - 15pts 3reb
                Robinson - 12pts 9reb
                Garnett - 10pts 5reb 1stl 1blk
                Rondo - 8pts 14ast 6reb 1stl
                Novak - 6pts 2reb 3ast

                Game 4: Boston 94, Philadelphia 89:
                Robinson - 21pts 7reb
                Pierce - 19pts 5ast 4reb 1blk
                Derozan - 18pts 6reb 1stl 2blk
                Rondo - 12pts 12ast 3reb 1stl
                Garnett - 10pts 3reb 2stl 1blk
                Cunningham - 6pts 5reb 1stl
                Novak - 3pts 3reb
                Morris - 2pts 3ast

                - Robinson has been a beast for me and a very big surprise. I get Bass back next game so that will help my bench (hes played 1 game all year). Pierce and Derozan have also been nice scoring options from the wings. Smith missed a game but will be back next game as well. Rondo had 2 bad games to start but has since picked it up and looks like hes in form. Cunningham has taken Wilcox minutes with strong play and should get more looks in the rotation after he returns from injury (missing 1 game). Garnett has been OK when called upon but will be looking for more touches in the future. His Defense has been key as well. More to come!

                  Game 4: Boston 92, Toronto 63:
This game was joke from the beginning as Toronto just was flat the entire game. After the 1st they were down 21-11 and didn't come back. Boston was too strong with the full roster for the Raps to contend. Marcus Thornton missed this one as he is dealing with an injury. Derozan was happy to play his former team leading the game in scoring with 20pts. Lowry was the leading scorer for Toronto with 13pts. The starters weren't needed a lot in this one hence the low individual stats. Here is the full box score:

                  Boston Stats:
                  Derozan - 20pts 4reb 1stl
                  Pierce - 14pts 5reb 4ast
                  Smith - 11pts 1ast
                  Novak - 9pts 4reb
                  Robinson - 8pts 7reb
                  Rondo - 8pts 9ast 3reb 4stl
                  Garnett - 8pts 6reb 1blk
                  Bass - 8pts 2reb
                  Wilcox - 6pts 3reb 2stl 1blk

                  Toronto Stats:
                  Lowry - 13pts 4ast
                  Bargnani - 12pts 5reb
                  Davis - 8pts 2reb
                  Ross - 8pts 1stl
                  Johnson - 6pts 4reb
                  Valacinuas - 5pts 3reb
                  Lee - 4pts 2reb

                  News and Notes:
                  - Cunningham is back from injury and will be inserted into the rotation. Wilcox and Howard are expected to lose some minutes.
                  - The Celtics (4-1) now play Washington (1-4) who have Okafor and Nene dealing with injuries. If they dont play, or are limited, look for Garnett and Robinson to have solid games.

                    Re: Official NBA2K13 Association Thread

Game 22 of the 1st year of my Milwaukee Bucks association. I was sitting at 17-4 on the season. I finished the first 1/4 of the season with a 0.5gm division lead over Chicago with the Pacers a mere 6 gms back.

Brandon Jennings is definitely a front runner in the MVP race. He is averaging 31.7ppg, 13.3apg, and 3.3spg. He has broken 2 team records in points in a single game(62) and assists in a single gm(29) He is having a career year in new head coach Starks' new system. Monta Ellis averages 25.1ppg.

Noteable additions to the team include:

                    Stephen Jackson
                    Norris Cole
                    Reggie Evans
                    Michael Redd (FA signing)

                    Noteable departures include

                    Larry Sanders
                    Drew Gooden (amnestied/bought out)
                    Joel Pryzbilla (waived)
                    Tobias Harris
Both 1st rounders, and next yrs 2nd rounder

                    My starting lineup is:

                    PG-Jennings
                    SG-Ellis
                    SF-S.Jackson
                    PF-E.Ilyasova
                    C-S.Dalembert

                    6th-Doron Lamb

Doron Lamb has shot over 50% from 3PT range this season and in limited minutes he has put up some great numbers. As he continues to grow and develop he may become a stud so I decided to give him a big oppritunity to be a big part of Milwaukee's future. The 6th man role has been great for him because he is able to provide solid scoring off the bench. He is averaging just over 7ppg.

Low post scoring is my only concern off the bench. Ersan Ilyasova and Dalembert score well but Udoh and Henson average about 5ppg combined. To be fair, with Jennings and Ellis, the chances to score are not abundent, but they are struggling overall. Both are young and very raw still so I am committed to develop them. I had considered making a trade with Charlotte involving Udoh for Brenden Haywood and a 2nd rounder, but have decided against it. Udoh is an asset and I may be able to either make something out of him myself, or move him for more value elsewhere.

I only have one 2nd round pick in the next 2 yrs so I am obviously not building thru the draft lol. I am scouting the PF/C Len out of Maryland. Great size at 7'1 and is only 19. With one second rounder, I'm looking for a big body with a good upside.

I played the 18-4 Clippers tonight. Dalembert returned to the lineup tonight after being out for 6 gms with a knee injury. Dalembert returned to the starting lineup and played big minutes since coach Starks opted to wait until he was fully recovered to play him. The Bucks surged to a double digit lead after 1 quarter of play but the Clips battled back and took a 6pt lead into halftime. Jennings lead all scorers at halftime with 17pts and 6assists. He was struggling to contain CP3. CP3 was either getting by Jennings and getting an easy shot or getting a step by him and hitting a teammate for an assist. It is realistic but it was hurting us big time lol. Ellis, who was relatively quiet in the first half, exploded in the third quarter when Jennings went to the bench for a breather. He scored 8 out of the Bucks 11 pts while Jennings was out.

The Bucks built up a narrow lead heading into the 4th. Jennings, and Ellis were lighting it up as usual. Stephen Jackson was having a strong game too with 18 points. Ersan had only scored 5 pts to that point, and Doron Lamb was having a cold shooting night. The game went back and fourth for the first part of the quarter with neither team being able to gain much of an edge. Finally, Ersan heated up and nailed back to back threes and that sealed the game for Milwaukee. The Bucks gained enough seperation to work the clock until the Clips were forced to foul and Jennings closed the game on free throws. Jennings netted 31pts, and 14 assists, and a season high 6 steals. Jackson finished with 18pts, and Monta had 29pts. Dalembert had a great return game with 12pts, and 9rebs on 6-8 shooting. Nobody reached double figures off the bench, which is a slight concern but with Jennings and Ellis playing out of their mind lately, it is all good lol

The Bucks improve to 18-4 with that 109-100 victory over LAC. They enter the new week 2nd in the Power ranking, and tied for 1st in the division with the Bulls(19-5). Our next game is against the division rival Pacers, who are 6 gms behind us. We are riding a 7 gm win streak so I'd like to ride this momentum to get as much seperation from our division as possible in case we slump. Our first game against the Pacers was won on a last second jumper from Mbah a Moute when we were down by one. The buzzer sounded and Mbah a Moute's contested 17 footer went in to give us the victory. They will definitely be back for revenge so this game is definitely a "must-win" in my eyes to attempt to establish dominance over them in our division and make this a 2 horse race for the division title between Chicago and us.

We will be playing without Udoh who hyper-extended his leg. He is officially unable to play and will be missed. I inserted Reggie Evans back into the rotation despite him being banged up with a sore knee. With Henson, Mbah a Moute, and Evans backing up Ersan and Dalembert, I am still confident that I can hold my own. Udoh will miss 2-4 weeks.

Let me know what you guys think, and feel free to offer suggestions. Thanks!

                      Game 2: Boston 96, New York 100:

                      Rondo - 4pts 10ast 2reb 1stl

                      Game 3: Boston 88, Orlando 63:
                      Derozan - 18pts 9reb 1blk
                      Pierce - 17pts 4reb 2ast
                      Smith - 15pts 3reb
                      Robinson - 12pts 9reb
                      Garnett - 10pts 5reb 1stl 1blk
                      Rondo - 8pts 14ast 6reb 1stl
                      Novak - 6pts 2reb 3ast

                      Game 4: Boston 94, Philadelphia 89:
                      Robinson - 21pts 7reb
                      Pierce - 19pts 5ast 4reb 1blk
                      Derozan - 18pts 6reb 1stl 2blk
                      Rondo - 12pts 12ast 3reb 1stl
                      Garnett - 10pts 3reb 2stl 1blk
                      Cunningham - 6pts 5reb 1stl
                      Novak - 3pts 3reb
                      Morris - 2pts 3ast

                      - Robinson has been a beast for me and a very big surprise. I get Bass back next game so that will help my bench (hes played 1 game all year). Pierce and Derozan have also been nice scoring options from the wings. Smith missed a game but will be back next game as well. Rondo had 2 bad games to start but has since picked it up and looks like hes in form. Cunningham has taken Wilcox minutes with strong play and should get more looks in the rotation after he returns from injury (missing 1 game). Garnett has been OK when called upon but will be looking for more touches in the future. His Defense has been key as well. More to come!
That sounds like a really fun team to use. Rondo and Derozan makes for a very athletic back court. I like T Rob a lot too. The whole team is solid, especially with JR Smith off the bench. Like you said, its not the most realistic, but it is a fun roster. Rondo will probably have crazy assist numbers with that roster lol

                          Stephen Jackson
                          Norris Cole
                          Reggie Evans

                          Larry Sanders

Thanks!

A buzzer beater from Mbah ? I cant hit water from inside a boat with him. Great win. Fear the Deer.

Lol yeah man. Talk about an unlikely hero. I will admit, that shot was luck. I remember posting on this thread about that game a few pages back. That was a fun game. It was so close, and I literally had to throw it up from around the free throw line, on the run, in transition, while the shot was being contested, with Mbah a Moute. It was epic lol.

In my association, I've won 2 gms on buzzer beaters, one early in the season with Monta, and one with Mbah a Moute. I also won on a clutch shot from Monta to push the game to OT. It is kinda crazy, I got 3 wins on clutch, last second shots.

                              Whats goin' on fellas!

Im back! I took a little hiatus playing other games (WWE 13 - good change of pace, Far Cry 3 - WHOA!, Heavy Rain- had to get one me and the wife could play together) but I am back in my 2K saddle!

Just a reminder I've been using the Bobcats Im in the second season and we just passed the Allstar break! We're 1st seed in the East (saaaay what? yup!). Some of you guys know I dont post to much during the regular season, I wait to playoffs come around but I wanted to give yall my roster again so we can all catch up.

PG - Kemba "Mini-Mamba" Walker, 4th in the MVP race (major!)
SG - Andre Iguodala (sp?), signed him as a F/A
SF - C.Parsons, my smooth white boy (c'mon every great team had one, no offense people)
PF - K.Martin, strong powerful beast on the block!
C - R.Hibbert, really coming along as one of the best big men in the game
                              6. R.Lewis, great at spacing the floor and veteran presence
                              7. T. McGrady, veteran presence
                              8. S.Telfair, really good servicable back up PG 8-9ast/gm
                              9. B. Mullens, our size off the bench
                              10. C.Frye, can play him anywhere from the 3-5, good at spacing the floor
                              11. W.Johnson, good wing defender and rebounder
                              12. H.Warrick, energy off the bench!

Thats the squad, I'll give updates here and there but when playoffs start its game time!
Rather than complain about life, take responsibility and do something about it..

Thanks!
