Am I the only one who likes the game better with harder 3 pt %?

I agree it is a bit too low, but this is way better than having every single 3 go in, regardless of the shot release, player, where they are on the floor, etc. I shot around 50% from 3 pt in about 50 games.

Last game I played you could actually play defense and if you contested the shot there would be less than a 20% chance it'd go in. I still hit 5-6 threes ( I dr the total pct though), but I'd rather have it like this than lose to people who don't move the ball at all and jack up 3's to beat me.

They need to tweak just a tad up and it'd be perfect, honestly. But I really don't see how people enjoyed the game the way it was before. No ball movement required or anything...just jack up 3's. My Team was a joke too because of this and was one reason I stopped with the awful mode.

The only modes I really play are My Career, blacktop online, and Team-Up so... maybe it's the people I come across, but it seems like the majority thinks basketball is only dunking or 3pters. I can see why some would be bitching.

Totally agree, I would rather have too few threes go in than too many. I shouldn't be able to hit 60% of my threes on any given game. This is a bit more realistic though I agree the change was a bit drastic.

I'd rather have it this way than the way it was before. Only a two game sample size for me though. My opinion could change.

I'm fine with it, but it's crap if they don't tone down the dunking. It just rewards myTEAM players who run with LeBron, Durant, Blake, etc. and just run down the floor through the entire D and dunk on them because dunk animations are impossible to interrupt.

But really they are just more realistic. With that being said I do think guys like Ray Allen should be able to bang in 2-3 straight every now and then.
Iv never seen some one make 25 threes online in quick match. If a person can make 25 threes. That person not doing anything wrong. The defender is. They need to find a middle ground. This update basically takes teams that depend on the three point shot out of it.

Im still winning. Im like20-5 since i noticed the change. But i would like to hit some open threes. I run pays like floppy miller or 3 floppy which gets guys like j.r smith and steve novak open for threes. They can basically sit there and pick their noses they are open for so long. I take the shot. Get a B- quality on green release and brick. Novak went 1-7 on wide open threes j.r went 1-3 the only one he made was a four point play. Tyson chandler is averaging like 20 a game for me now off of pick n roll ally opps from kidd and felton.

No, i like it. Now, lower tier shooters have more inconsistencies and are less reliable as they should be.

I've noticed a lot of players who have loaded teams with shooters in MyTeam are struggling b/c they don't have a balanced team.

If they raise it up just a little bit more, I'll be fine. Im glad some of you guys have been doing better, but right now I have hardly any confidence in my guys hitting an open 3 when I need one. I really wish the devs would tells us why the shot releases online have changed, though.

Re: Am I the only one who likes the game better with harder 3 pt %?

You guys really think that people were shooting 60 % from 3 lol gtfo of here. It's a lot challenging to hit the three, but it is kind of ridiculous to go 0-5 with guys like Durant and Novak from three when majority of those shots are open.

I just watched the Rockets and Grizzlies played and The Rickets took like 20 Plus 3s and there were a few contested and the shots were dropping. James Harden, and Tony Douglass were busting 3s with guys late on recovery. Hell I even saw Harden make one with a defender all over him.

And you mean to tell me missing wide open 3s is the norm? Smh I can understand the challenge, Im like 7-2 in quick matches. ANSI just finished beating the Celtics with the Kings. So I'm not complaining, but this 3pt change is very frustrating at times.

Re: Am I the only one who likes the game better with harder 3 pt %?

I was shooting close to 50 pct before this change. Now I am shooting 33-38 pct. I only take 10 3's a game or so and they have to be wide open in the flow of the offense. The mid range is probably the most popular shot in the NBA and you hardly saw it. Now it is your best option to make your offense revolve around the mid range game. I can still hit my 3's, but I won't make 50 pct any more. Most NBA players cannot even hit 50 pct wide open, so there is no reason I was shooting close to that in a game.

I have already made 2 guys quit. The first guy was like 4 of 18 from 3 and the ones he did make were wide open and in the flow of the offense. Most of the ones he missed were forced and contested. The next guy just chucked with Kobe and he eventually cooled off.

This game feels more like 2k11 online IMO. I remember I had problems hitting 3's in that game, but no one seemed to complain back then. I like how it is now honestly. You can actually play a sagging man defense with good help(which alot of NBA teams do) and have success. I still see my opponents putting everything to tight, 100 pct pressure, deny everyone the ball, etc. The casual online gamer simply will not adjust, instead they'll just make excuses.

Hopefully they tweak it up a notch....but just a notch. Anything remotely close to how it was before and it becomes a chucking contest again. I really have enjoyed the online games once again. Whether it is team up, black top, quick ranked, etc...they all seem to have a better flow to it.

The only issue I have with this is guys rated in the low 80s can hit a lick. Im open by 10 feet and the defender doesn't even attempt to defend since i'm so open yet I brick it and it isn't the shot release (Kobe, Deron Williams).

Make 3 pt about Simulation-slider level or around 45 and I'll be happy. I'm to hesitant to shoot a wide open 3 because I for some reason miss, with everything green expect for the grade, but doing it off line, same thing, but the grade is better. 3 point online feels high 30s - low 40s (slider-wise) on Superstar for me, which is not good since I'm use to Superstar-Simulation level.

All its doing is highlighting how poor interior defense is this year. You're basically superman driving to the rim with Lebron

What? The mid range jumpshot is the least efficient shot in basketball. Haven't you heard about the death of the midrange jumper? Teams are absolutely not basing their offense around the mid range game.

The 3pt slider should never be less than 47.

Re: Am I the only one who likes the game better with harder 3 pt %?

I realize that I'm definitely in the minority, but I greatly preferred it the way it was before. In online quick match, I only shot around 36% from 3 before the change, and I only gave up around 30-33% from 3. Now, both of those percentages are around 10-15%. I've had several games where my opponent has attempted 10+ 3 pointers and not made a single one. My points per game allowed is only 43.2 atm, so I do realize I am well on the low end of the scale, but this is ridiculous.

Yeah, giving up lots of threes is certainly annoying, but at least that can be defended reasonably well with the proper adjustments. I'm far more annoyed by the non-stop dunks and passes in the paint, and people do that now more than ever. The way it is now, you're more likely to score by charging the lane with Ray Allen and Steve Novak than you are shooting threes. Sure, the 3pt % was a bit too high before, but now it's way too far in the opposite direction.

Update: I played a few more games today, and it seems like the %'s have been adjusted upward again somewhat. I got my first A- on a 3 point shot with Courtney Lee in several games, and the grades do seem a bit higher. Although, all of the boosts given because of Rondo's Dimer and Field General skills certainly help quite a bit. I still can't get above a B- with Jason Terry, even if everything else is perfect. The percentages are definitely higher than they were just a few days ago, around 20-25% instead of 10-15%. It's still a little low atm, but I can handle it the way it is right now, provided they don't change it anymore.
