my player wont dunk

i've made an athletic sg and he cant dunk for some reason. even when i have a wide open lane he'll still go for a layup. am i doing something wrong?

do you have to have a players dunk package or a generic one? because at the moment i have the hangs off two dunk package.

Yea not using the search feature.

You need a dunk package equipped (rim grazers, ect) as well as being rated high enough, above 65 I believe, in dunking.

Both triggers + right analog or right trigger (r2) and x (square), with sufficient stamina left over.

If you already have that one package assigned and you're still not slamming, maybe I'd suggest throwing in a one-foot package too. Not all takeoffs might be open to dunking off two feet.

My player doesn't dunk in blacktop online but he does in the actual game. I have four dunk packages use on him. My dunks are 51 and vertical 65. Help?

I also have a athletic SG and I can dunk just fine. I had 4 highlight reel dunks in my first game.

You have to go to your tendencies and look down the list. I had a 7 foot center who wouldn't dunk and it perplexed me. I was doing his tendencies and under inside shot he didn't had 0 for dunk. I cranked that up a little and viola.

Wait, how do you edit a players tendencies. I've had the game for months and I've never found it.

Maybe he means in association mode where he drafted a 7ft center.

and once again someone gives misinformation.
he has an athletic SG, he does NOT need a dunk package.
an ATHLETIC player is able to dunk without packages.

@OP, its either your vertical, stamina or dunk rating thats too low.
you need an 80 dunk and at least 70 vertical to dunk without packages as an ATHLETIC player.
