Any fix to these incredible awful subs?

These substitutions are just embarrassingly bad in 12 minute quarters.

1. Most of the time, no player get subbed out until about 2 or 3 minutes left in the first quarter.
2. The first substitution will most often take all the starters out, and bring in all the bench guys at once.
3. The starters will get like a 2 or 3 minute rest and have to come in.
4. The minutes are almost never distributed like I have them in the rotations. Most of the starters end up playing at least 38-42 minutes.

What gives? I haven't been on OS in a while, so is there any solution?

Try messing with the Bench Depth slider in Coaching Profiles, its not a fix, but it helps.

I play with the Celtics and I turn timeouts on manual and leave subs on auto. About 1 out of every 5 games the computer will sub in Courtney Lee or Rondo in at center. This is absolutely ridiculous.

Well i play mostly in MyCareer and i can't stand when a player has 2 fouls and stays in the 1st quarter or even 3 fouls something needs to be done.

Activate another big and put a guard/forward in Reserve.

People trash 2k12 but in 2k12 this problem does not exist or is not so frequent.
Subs in 2k13 is a mess, just like many other things 2K didn`t bother testing.
The time they spent creating Justin Bibier could have been spent to make substituons fine.

Good post. It's all the extra pointless stuff that weakens the core of the game. Sadly, it's about selling a videogame instead of making a great one.

For sub purposes, I've turned off auto subs and player roles in my association and I just handle subs on my own now. It's unfortunate, but that's what I've been using as a "fix."

I hate auto subs, I have never used them. TBH I don't know why anyone does.

This is a huge problem. I understand getting rotations done well has to be difficult, but to have players subbed in with huge foul problems is a game breaker. I can do my own substitutions, but the CPU is straight stupid. The rotation issue has gotten worse over the years instead of better and in past years at least players in foul trouble were handled well. I would trade accurate subs for celebs and all the added presentation stuff.

I somehow doubt the person responsible for modeling Justin Bieber was also responsible for substitution AI logic.

Except that only works for your team, when you are playing the AI you cannot manually sub the opponents team.

i put bench depth to 0 everything's still a mess!!

Why would I care about my opponents team? That's not my problem if they don't know how to sub.
