I'm not knocking anyone that does play them but I am honestly curious as to why someone would use them.

Does anyone actually play a MLS team in career?
I'm just curious because I can't honestly see any reason why someone would. The MLS is one of the worst leagues in the world in terms of talent and the game reflects that.

Lmao! I don't use it, I don't use European leagues either, but you'd still be surprised. Even though the league isn't as great as others, the stadiums get packed! -

Because it's their native league? With their local team that they support? You really can't wrap your head around it?Comment

Re: Does anyone actually play a MLS team in career?
My biggest problem with using an MLS team is the lack of the CONCACAF Champions League in the game. Not much outside of the MLS season.Chicago Bears
Oregon State Beavers
Portland Trail Blazers
San Francisco Giants
Chicago Blackhawks
MLS: Portland Timbers
EPL: Liverpool FCComment

If they had the CONCACAF CL I would probably play MLS exclusively in CM. Really hope that's included in FIFA 14.Comment

I have the exact thoughts. I'm a big fan of Liga MX's Guadalajara, but other than the domestic league there's nothing. I guess the international management keeps me busy as well but it's not the same. What I'm planning to do after the next roster update is start a new career but swap all of the teams to a European league like the Portugal or Holland league where teams can't be demoted, and just take it from there. That way, I may not be able to take part in the CONCACAF Champions but I can play the uefa one. Also, since there'll be more tournaments that means mComment

Where you're not just swapping a team to a different league but swapping the whole league?Comment

The reason I don't want a league with relegation to experiment with, is because if I move the Liga MX to the 2nd or 3rd division of say England for example, I'll never see the rest of the Liga MX teams again after the 1st season and that'll just make the whole move pointlessComment

Re: Does anyone actually play a MLS team in career?
there are several worst leagues. mls is comparable to npower championship or the second division of most of the top leagues in the world. i would play it exclusively, however we have to play with by world football rules and not by mls rules. so really whats the point.
You just pointed out something that I found odd when as an experiment I wanted to see if the game has the MLS dedicated player/salary cap rules and it does not.
I have to point out that it sounds like no one who has answered my question actually does play a MLS team. With the lack of any international or interfederational play it really does hurt the fun factor for the player. One of the best things about playing a team in a European league is the number of cups/competitions you can play in.Comment

I play as an MLS club in CM simply to play as my favorite team. Not really too much more to it.Comment

I always feel playing with Liga MX or MLS teams like any other sport season. Regular season, playoffs, champions.
Wish FIFA would add CONCACAF games.Comment
