    please help: HD settings problem

So i just got a new hdtv, everything looks great except for the actual game play, the cut screens looks nice and smooth, but when it cuts to the gameplay all the players have rough edges like its a ps2 game almost, dont know if i have the wrong setting somewhere or what. my tv supports 1080p and thats what its on ive tried 720p and still the same problem. any help appreciated, my tv is a 30inch emerson LCD tv

its at -12, but that shouldnt be the problem, like i said the cut screens looks beautiful like the game should look. but the gamplay is jaggedy and rough, its the same with most of my games aswell

Maybe the specs of your TV can't handle the motion of the gameplay? But then again most games cutscene graphics are wayyy better than the gameplay graphics. maybe since you just got this hdtv you're just not use to the noticeable difference now.

A video or screenshot would help.

My guess is maybe trying messing with the refresh settings if it's a newer tv and is higher than 60hz. Also if the tv has a "game mode" try using that on whatever input the system is connected to.

              What TV do you have?
Bills, Sabres, Illini, Cubs, basically any team that abuses its fanbase and I'm there.

You can accomplish this by taking a picture with your phone and then uploading it in a post.

Also do you know the specific model number of your tv?

If you are running madden on ps3 I remember people saying that the quality is not as good as the Xbox version.

I'm having a hard time finding an Emerson 30" or 32" that supports 1080p. Is it this one?

How about other games in HD? I honestly think it might just be the game. I remember Getting Madden 10 and my first HD TV and being very underwhelmed. Is this your first HD TV?

Other games look much better than Madden. NBA2k games for example.

How do they look on instant replay?

Just take a picture while you are on defense and you don't have to concentrate as much. Just call a play and snap a picture. Maybe also snap a picture of a cut scene to compare it to.

Also try switching to 720 instead of 1080. Sometimes that can make a difference. It shouldn't but I know like my brother had to switch down to 720 on his because the 1080 looked terrible.
