Coincidence...?

I'm in year 2026, and i was wondering if anybody else has seen this happen deep in their dynasty: 4 out of the top 10 schools in the BCS rankings are running the option. I just think it's odd that it works so well during simmed games.

I think in almost all my dynasties Georgia Tech is always ranked. Sometimes even in the top 10.

Georgia Tech and Navy are doing successful in my dynasties, but Tech doesn't run the option anymore.

I just played an Urban Meyer coached Ohio State in the National Championship. They had the #1 rush offense in the country and were running flexbone. Navy and Army are both running pro style offenses now and are top 25 teams for the last 3 years as well.

Georgia Tech has been in the ACCCG game 5 out of 6 years and finished no lower than 11th in the final top 25. Highest they got was #2. Then my #1 FSU squad beat them in the ACCCG.

Florida State turned into an option team and went to the National Championship game in my dynasty.

That's happened a lot in my dynasty, I was into the 2023 season before I restarted, and plenty of teams had moved to the Option and done really well. Which frustrated me, because I always had to manually change their playbooks anytime I played against them because of how broken and useless the Flexbone is in gameplay as opposed to sim.

I've always wondered why Tech does so well when simming. We usually end up top 10 despite our recruiting/overall isn't that good.

I guess we can couple Tech's performance with mediocre ACC schools as well. Other the Florida State, I don't see a consistently strong ACC school in my dynasties. Clemson and VTech have their years but GTech really only has what, 3 tough games?

They're always some of the hardest teams for me to beat as on OC because of how much the sim loves the option. I had back-to-back games against Georgia Tech and Navy with 7 minute quarters and they both ran the ball 87 times. It's like they were running a no-huddle flexbone offense. Granted, part of that is caused by time not progressing in a realistic manner during sim.
