Great game for the Gophers tonight, 7-1 over the Seapups.
This is going to be a very entertaining finish in the WCHA! Tweet from the UND beat writer to show just how tight things are:
"MSU-Mankato loses 2 OT games this weekend and is in 8th place. If MSU won them, they'd be in 1st. Tight league."

Ohio State comes to town for NMU this weekend, I'll be attending the Friday night game because Saturday night is the Wings opener. Hopefully NMU can pull off some wins against these teams leaving for the Big Ten.Comment

The Huskies got a HUGE Win last night, Bob Motzko's 150th Win!!
We beat Denver 5-2, and it was my first ever LIVE Huksies Game; couldn't ASK for a better Game!
We played amazingly on both sides of the rink and added an ENG to ice it!

Sweeeppppp!!!! We swept the Denver Pioneers, a team that hadn't been swept in 60 Series!!
The last time they were swept in Conference Play? November 15-16 2008, by the ST. CLOUD STATE HUSKIES!
We sit atop the WCHA once again!
Also, Ben Hanowski had a pair of Power-Play Assists and a Goal to finally break into THE CENTURY CLUB!!!

Happy to come out of the weekend with 3 points. 3 or 4 years ago, if the Gophers were losing by 2 with under 10 minutes to play in the 3rd, I would have immediately known it was a loss. Not this team, they don't quit. Even down by two with under 10, they showed a lot of poise, seems like they know that they can come back from that kind of deficit. The last team the Gophers had that was like this won a national championship.
Not making any predictions here, but I really like the position we're in. The Gophers have great goaltending, DEEP secondary scoring, very solid defense, and very good special teams. That's a great formula.
