Re: Recruiting Level
I do it on Heisman, but past the first two weeks, I don't even bother recruiting anymore.
It does seem like, no matter what school your at, you're going to be able to pull in some big-time recruits on Heisman.--
Have you ever wanted to coach or play basketball at the next level, but something prevented you from achieving that dream? Fret no more. Ask me about SimWorld Hoops to see how you can create your virtual self, and follow your path from the prep-level to the pros.

Re: Recruiting Level
I would agree I have started a dynasty with Memphis I have pulled in the 60th best class my first year and 26 the second. I mostly go for 3 stars but get bulk feels cheap but I do what I can to stay in contention.Cal is turning more guys into millionaires than wall-street.
Everyone went pro from the 2012 Kentucky team even the ball boy!Comment

Re: Recruiting Level
I do it on Freshman.
Make fun of me all you want, but I enjoy getting awesome players every year with minimal effort.
For me, recruiting gets very tedious during the season. Putting it on Freshman allows me to enjoy the game without taking forever to sift through the 2-3 star recruits trying to find a gem. I just usually go after the interested players that I like and move on. Most of the time I'm done with recruiting before the season is over, then it's just game/game/game."Baseball is the coolest sport because, at any moment, the catcher can stop the game and go tell the pitcher a secret" - Rob FeeComment

Re: Recruiting Level
Yep. I'll get in a few battles, but for the most part it feels like you can get most of the guys you want with little resistance from cpu teams. Next year the 3+ star recruits need to be pursued more aggressively and by more teams.Comment

Re: Recruiting Level
I've been recruiting on Heisman. Really the difficulty doesn't matter much since the recruiting logic is really broken. The reason recruiting is so easy is there are certain recruits that the CPU just ignores. All CPU teams seem to go after the same guys. So you get some players with a bunch of CPU teams going after them and then other guys who get no offers what so ever. I've gotten numerous 5 star athletes where I was the only school recruiting them.NCAA: Virginia Cavaliers
MLB: Tampa Bay Rays, Washington Nationals
NFL: Washington Redskins
NHL: Washington CapitalsComment

Re: Recruiting Level
In the past I think I've recruited on All-American and plan to continue to so this year. I thought it was fair in 2011, and I'm interested to see if it continues in 13.Comment

Re: Recruiting Level
Heisman, and even that's easy. In my first year with Colorado (2* team prestige, 8-5 season), I pulled in the No. 1 recruiting class. Three 5* and ten 4* recruits, including about five 3* recruits.
Needless to stay, many of those guys are starters in their first year.College FB: Oregon Ducks
NFL: Seattle Seahawks, San Francisco 49ers

I agree I took over a very bad Oregon St. team and my second year had the #2 recruiting class. I now limit myself to the number of seniors leaving and one athlete.Heisman, and even that's easy. Re: Recruiting Level
I know there's a wishlist thread, but since its relevant, here's my two cents:
Recruiting ability should be tied directly to a school's prestige ranking:
i.e., the lower a school's prestige ranking, the more local (and less talented) their recruiting base should be. This is only half-true in NCAA, as they still go out of state frequently. On the other hand, the big name schools (Ohio State, USC, etc.) should have a much broader base to look for top talent.
Also, schools should fight harder for in-state recruits, even the prestigious schools.
They also need to add way more recruits of lower talent to a lot of states that barely have any recruits at all to keep small schools in-state.Virginia Tech Hokies

Re: Recruiting Level
What I am finding out first hand is schools do their research on a kid. They rely on Alumni and family connections. They know if a kid in Texas has a grandmother living in Ohio. Prestige is defined differently among schools. Northwestern gets 3-4 star athletes. Big Ten schools are academically good but they still get "dumb kids" (Ohio State). Northwestern gets the smart jock because they are academically superior to all the Big Ten Schools. So a kid who will be a second stringer at Penn State gets first string status at Northwestern. Northwestern gets the Big Ten revenue and can stay competetive and put out a good to great team every few years. Each school has it's own little gimmick but the alumni boosters are the backbone, and in the case of Ohio State they have as much or more recruiting power than the coach.Recruiting ability should be tied directly to a school's prestige ranking:
