Sorry this has taken me so long, wanted to have this out by christmas but taking longer than I hoped.
This is for PS3

I will post maybe one more update to this file in a week or so. That will just be minor player tweaks to ratings. This roster is about as complete as Im going to get it. I have made everything as accurate as I can find the info on including player height/weight, uniform #'s, and hometown/state. If anyone finds anything needing correcting just post on this thread. thanks!!

Whats been done:

76 teams rosters are complete/depth charts
All teams have been named with the info I can find
Most coaches/ asssitants are named
Teams playbooks are set as close as I can duplicate the 70's
9 teams that werent playing in 1978 havent been touched
10 team builder teams are complete
Unnamed players last name changed to X

I have scoured the internet, magazines and old programs to research this but as you can imagine this info is hard to find. You will find small errors, especially with players eligability because this info is hard to sort out. Most players year is based off of the years they lettered so if a player only lettered one year, I made them a senior unless I found more info. Anyone is welcome to download this and post corrections on here. If you can find a link or have personel knowledge please let me know. I will update as soon as I get the info but will probably just upload updates weekly. I know there will be plenty of ratings suggestions---I tried to lower QB's ratings to refect the passing stats of that time but I have adjusted AWR and play recognition up. The few games that I have played computer vs computer look very good.

What needs to be done

Tweak ratings after roster complete
Replace teams (FIU, FAU, Troy, Tex St.,UCF, UAB, USF, UTSA, Buffalo)
Teambuilder (Indiana St, Citadel, N. Arizona, Yale, Richmond, Villanova, UT Chatt, Tenn st., Youngstown St., Montana)
These teams can be downloaded and replace the teams that werent playing in 78
Team builder teams are complete.

Thanks for the hard work, are those teambuilder teams going to already be on the roster,or do we download them separately?

I've been editing rosters for myself for years, but this is the first time I've used teambuilder. Not sure how that works, so I guess you'll have to download them seperately. The only one thats almost complete is Indiana St---just need 4 or 5 more players. The rest I'm having to research--may take a week or so depending on how much time I can find to work on them. Hope you like them, Ive been holding off playing for a long time so Im looking forward to it myself!!

I was 10 years old and lived football, and now I have a closet full of Street and Smiths and programs so it was easy to go with it

I finished 4 teams
USC
Northwestern
UMass
Indiana st (team builder)

And I did most of N Arizona, and Tenn-Chatt

I still need to set the run/pass ratios and the off/def so that the teams play the way they should.
Don't have time tonight to upload the changes but will do more after work tomorrow and then post on here when I upload.

The team builder teams are still being tweaked but they are under OldschoolCarl also.

I'll check these out tomorrow. I'm excited to give the Sycamores a shot since I went to ISU. Might even be able to help you finish the roster if you can't.

The Indiana st roster should be pretty close. Surprisingly that was one of the easiest because they have digital copies of all the media guides going all the way back into the 1960's. I wish every school did that!!
