Did Scea even consider asking a real Canadian? Joey Votto, Justin Morneau are a couple that come to mind.

I think they are geared more towards the Canadian "team" affiliation. The Canadian cover with a Cincinnati Reds or Minnesota Twins jersey on it would be... weird. Unless they put a picture of them in their Canadian WBC jersey, but then again this is an MLB game.

Lawrie is too much of a hothead and hasn't really proven himself yet. He angered a lot of Blue Jays fans last year with his no-sense running style.

I'm fine with Joey Bats on the cover again.

With addition all these vets like Reyes,Izturis,Buehrle,Dickey on the team, it'll add alot to the younger guys like Lawrie not just on field, but off as well.

Although its premature, Jose REYES wouldve been a better choice only because Joey Bats was on it last year.
Reyes fever is here in the great white north, hard to find a jersey around here that isnt xxl, but I get it he hasnt actually played yet.
Very happy its NOT Lawrie though that kid needs to wake up, dont care if hes canadian,

For the second year in a row, the Canadian cover will be graced by Jose Batista. OK he's a great player, but don't you think it's a bit redundant? I would have prefered Joey Votto, a true Canadian and an all-star player even though he plays for an American team. At least it's not going to be Brett Lawrie. Than God for that!

Check out the MLB 13 The Show cover art with Andrew McCutchen. Also announced today, Jose Bautista will once again be on the Canadian cover.

Can't wait until they announce who the Canadian cover will be. Maybe Lawrie. Not sure if they'll do Bautista again.

I've always wanted WBC teams added to the show. Any chance one of you have asked the Sony guys why it's not made available?

We can definitely ask, but I'm pretty sure it ends up being a licensing issue, with Konami holding the rights.

Meh, Lawrie would have made sense because he's a Canadian, on Canada's team, an up and coming young talent, and to avoid Jose again.
