Did they decrease the three-point difficulty when playing online?
All of sudden everyone and their mom has been raining threes on me. It's so annoying, I legitimately rage quit. Two people in a row just spammed the three point line by moving laterally the entire possession and then when they find a little crease, jack up a shot that of course is a swish. Can they please please please nerf the three point barrage? It's not realistic in any way and is really ruining the experience for me. It was fine just a week ago, but now everybody is going off. Even I have been hitting shots that I normally wouldn't be making. So, it's not just that I'm playing bad defense. I hit 4 three pointers with Gerald Wallace, and all of them were contested!Last edited by gjvatsalya; 01-19-2013, 03:52 PM.Tags: None -

Its been this way since 2K12. Nowadays everybody can knock down 3's like Ray Allen, even guys with 69 three point.2K teams : Rockets,Thunder

3's have been an issue for all of 2k13, except for a few weeks right before Christmas. Then the noob whiners moaned that they weren't hitting at 75% anymore so they were pretty pissed. 2K needs to find a balance to how it is now and how it was when 2's weren't automatic. The game has literally gone arcade because it literally takes zero skill to make 2's if you have the right mix of sig skills.Comment

I'd say more like 40-42. I play with 46 offline and still get B and B+ grades. Before Christmas the best grade I'd usually get was like a C+ or C. I was shooting about 30 pct (roughly all open) compared to the 46 pct I was shooting before.Comment

Re: Did they decrease the three-point difficulty when playing online?
They do indeed need to find a good medium, though that may not please everyone.
I used the Blazers in a match like two weeks ago, I know they have two good 3pt shooters Matthews and Batum, yet I finished 2-20 3pt shooting, all good releases, ALL WIDE OPEN SHOTS.
I'm not one of those players who goes down court, pops up a 3. I actually hate that but I knew the Blazers could shoot a 3 ball, which would help free up Aldridge and Hickson but since every shot missed, it was a big let down.
The reason I kept shooting the 3;s? Because he kept leaving me open, he would even switch his player and back way off me and i'd still miss.Say "Oooooh."Comment

Lillard is always money. Matthews and Batum struggle if momentum not on your side but both are money from the corners. My secret scorer off the bench is Luke Babbitt, always shoot a high percentage of 3s with him.
The Blazers aren't a team you can just keep pulling 3s with, you really have to watch the flow of the game. I usually start feeding the post, get Aldridge going and once the momentum is on my side, I will then look for some 3s.
If Matthews misses his first 3, I really try to get him a dunk, if you don't he can become brick city very quickly. Again, if you get these guys completely wide open in the corners and you're money with their release, they will hit, both Batum and Matthews are corner specialist.
I'm 50-1 with these guys online so I understand all of your frustrations with them. Patience, knowing how to use Lillard and good basketball is the key for having success with the Blazers.Comment

I too play with the Blazers online, problem is their consistency is super low "Matthews, Batum" but we also have to be honest and not exaggerate. If you went 2-20 either your timing was off , you wasn't open, or you was forcing 3s despite not having momentum. Momentum is super important when you're dealing with low consistency shooters.

I don't like being a player who shoots 15-20+ 3's a game, as it's not realistic (Well kind of if you think about the Knicks.) but my timing was good, I even went to practice, had shot feedback on for that game it was just not going in. Maybe I wasn't in their hotspots as I did shoot most of the 3's on the wing.
If I use them again, i'm going to get the post game going first then maybe the long ball. With the Wizards/Nuggets I normally do that but when he was leaving me open, I couldn't resist.Say "Oooooh."Comment
