It was a very wild game in Calgary as the Kings outlasted the Flames 6-5 in order to improve to 2-0 on the young season. The Kings looked to have dug themselves a big hole ending the first period down by the score of 3-1 by way of Tom Kostoupolus and Curtis Glencross. It was Jarrett Stoll who helped the Kings come back and eventually put the Flames away scoring twice in the game for the Kings. The Kings seemed to have put their rough start behind them and proved its not how you start but how you finish the game. Jonathan Quick also started out rough as he is returning from a groin injury which saw him miss the first game of the season. Quick picked up his first win of the season, just after coming off the Conn Smythe trophy during last years Stanley Cup Run.
