I tried to use the financial takeover in my SC Bastia career but it didn't work. I bought it, but it just never applied to my career. So pissed off about that...

I sold Santi Cazorla to Real Madrid for €42,000,000 and almost got Luis Suarez for 15 M, but Bayern Munich acted like a douche and got him. I want to buy a CAM and a striker with good heading ability and at least 80 speed and acceleration. Giroud isn't working for me. I have €40m to spend for the CAM and the striker. Any Ideas?
Raid Dortmund. get Reus and Gotze. Or instead of Reus maybe hit Real and get Benzema.

Re: How's your FIFA 13 career mode going?

So I started a new CM with Cardiff City and started off by bringing in two of my favorite MLS players, Dominic Oduro and Austin Berry. Having a bit of a struggle to start my new campaign. My league objective is to gain promotion and I was unable to hold onto my early 1-0 lead vs Exeter City losing 2-1 with the winner coming on an 89' strike. My squad then took on Huddersfield and blew a 2-0, barely escaping with 1 point in a 2-2 draw. Obviously I need to take a look at bringing in some more efficient defenders before the transfer window closes.

On the plus side, my addition Oduro, has scored all 3 goals for my squad which has been exceptional!

I am thinking about bringing in a CDM to strengthen my defensive midfield at the end of a match when I am holding a small lead. I have around 4 mil in transfer budget currently (12,000 wage). Any suggestions on who to try to bring to the club?

I got Reus and Gotze in my last career mode so I didn't want to buy them. And Bor. Dortmund wanted 55M for Gotze. I decided to get Eriksen for 18 million, and Jovetic for a lot of money + a player.

55M for Gotze? Ouch! Eriksen for 18M is really good deal IMO. Jovetic is a good one and will score goals. Great choices. Good Luck.

I decided once the transfer window opens in January, I'm going to try and sell Neymar. He doesn't fit my Liverpool system. I found a promising talent in Sean Murray and with Suarez, and Downing, he reaching his potential quickly. Also with Sterling, and Yesil, I don't see Neymar fitting no more.

I picked him up in July, so hopefully I can flip him and sell him.

I'm considering leaving Manchester United despite the fact that I worked so hard to become prestigious enough to get a job offer from them. It's just too easy. I have over $100,000,000 to spend on transfers and over $600,000 to spend on wages and my starting lineup is still almost all 80's and 90's.

It's hard though because there's two guys that I've brought to every team that I've managed and developed them, I've developed 2 or 3 other guys that I signed from my Man U youth squad and they're now starters, and I want to land an international gig with the U.S., England, France, etc. (I'm with Portugal right now).

I don't know, I'll be checking out what managing jobs open up as I go through the season and see if anything interests me. Part of me wishes I hadn't left AJ Auxerre for Man U.

Re: How's your FIFA 13 career mode going?

Going into Inter Milan Second season. Started out with 2 draws in league play, a Europa Cup win, Lost in first round of Copa Nazzionale AGAIN, and started out with a game 1 victory in Champions cup vs. PSV

After Transfers My Roster Currently sits

                  GK - Handonovic
LB - Abate (Bought from AC MIlan for 14 Mil)
                  CB - Juan
                  CB - Ranocchia
                  RB - Nagatomo

LDM - Gareth Bale (Bought for 54Mil & 240K worth of Wages)
                  RDM - Fred Guarin

LW - Neymar (from first season purchase & trade of Cassano)
CAM/CF - Wilshere (Bought from Arsenal for 40+ MIl and 240K Wage)
RW - Walcott (From first season purchase)

ST - Remy (Purchased for 15-20 MIL)

                  Subs
                  CF - Ibarbo
                  CF - Palacio
                  LB - Mbaye
                  CM - Obi
                  CAM - Coutinho
ST - Longo or 17year old Caldiera
                  CB - Bianchetti

                  Reserves
                  Jonathan - RB
                  Longo - ST
                  Duncan - CM
Some 16-17 year olds at CM, RM positions

Have about $39 Mil for Transfers left

Most of my youth is loaned out with the exception of a 6'6" 5 star skill striker 17 year old out of Portugal I believe, and a 16 year old 6'6" 5 Star Skilled CDM out of Germany . There's also another CDM with 2 star skilled but great handling and a little more speed, and a RM/RW that is practically useless with no handling, speed or skills. None are rated higher than 60 however the ST and CDM that are 6'6" I do have success when I do insert them in the lineup and play the match. The ST has about 3 magnificent goals thus far , and the CDM is just a big dude towering over anyone in the midfield.

I'm in better form with Coutinho playing as the CF/CAM in place of Wilshere . With the draws and losses, it's discouraging because each game should have been won but between Goalkeepers making miraculous 1 on 1 saves, or hitting about 4 or 5 posts already , we are to a slower than expected start.

Re: How's your FIFA 13 career mode going?

So I decided to take a little adventure sout of the border into Mexico, Liga MX. Its not often that you hear of a career being started in this league, but I decided that I would give it a shot.

I chose to start my CM with Club Tijuana. Turned out to be a fairly enjoyable experience in my first season. Liga MX has as interesting way of playing out their season. Each season the league holds two tournaments: the Apertura, which starts in the summer, and the Clausura, which starts in the winter.

Club Tijuan lost in the Quarterfinals of the Clausura, and we managed to win the Apertura in the summer. In the finals of the Apertura, the first leg was tied at 0-0. So the second leg was for all the marbles. I get out to an early 3-1 lead, and managed to hold on in a tightly contested 2nd half to win the title 5-4.

During my run to the title I was offered National coaching jobs for a number of Countries; Peru, Ecuador, Bolivia, Northern Ireland, India, and Hungary. After much debate I decided to accept the Hungary job, solely for the purpose of playing in the Euros. I have been given the task of reaching the Quarters in the Euros and qualifying for the World Cup.

About to kick off season 2 with Tijuana, and hopefully get an offer at the end of the season to move clubs.

I think they have made career mode way to easy. The youth players growth is too much and to easy to get money after a few seasons. Buy any player you want, it gets boring. Besides the 6'6" wingers. WTF were they thinking or not I guess. I don't know how anyone can play more than 3 seasons. It should be hard to develop a youth player that can get into the 1st squad.

I used a similar approach starting my career with the Suwon Bluewings of the K-League. After playing most games my first two seasons I simmed a lot more for the third and fourth seasons because my roster was dominating by K-League standards. I kept waiting for a decent club offer to come and it never came. Only international offers came, never for clubs. So I started applying and ended up taking the SC Bastia job in Ligue 2.

You should know that you're not going to jump from Liga MX to even a mid-class European team. Even if the jobs open up they'll likely never hire you. Your best chance at a new club job is to apply to each one you see, save before you accept a job, and then accept the job to see what the status of your new club would be. If the job sucks for whatever reason you can just go back and turn the job down.

FA Cup final, Tottenham vs. Man U. Tied at 2 right near the end of the game. Man U fouls me, Gareth Bale lines up to take the 36 yard FK and NAILS IT. 90'+4.

Had a pretty intense moment earlier. 1st round of the U.S. Open Cup and I have to play the best team in the league Seattle Sounders. It was a very tight, close game throughout. We managed to score a goal around the 60th minute to take the lead. They started attacking hard, but we kept holding them off. Then, in extra time as the whistle is about to blow, I get called for a foul inside the penalty box! I was pretty pissed, I'd played so well and then a questionable call like that? Anyways, Montero lines up and I'm just waiting for whatever happens after a tie game. But I saved it! I made up my mind to go left, and that's exactly where it went and my goalie saved the game for us!

I've also made some big improvements to the team in the transfer period. I gave up that 77 overall striker with great potential, but so far I've bolstered my midfield with a 75 and 72 overall CDMs as well as a 75 CAM to replace Ferreira with. All of that and I still have a little over $15 million to play with.

Go after Darren Mattocks on the Whitecaps if you can. If it's still early in your career you can probably get him for only a couple million. His OVR doesn't get super high, but in my career he's 95+ in acceleration, sprint speed, and shot power at 27 years old.
