OA Free Agents
Just a quick question for all of the OA PC users. Can you sign Free Agents? Because Korver and a few others are there and I'd really like to get them, but the game just keeps making the offers disappear after a week or so, I've offered about 15 contracts at exactly what the player asked for and often times more to fill up the little interest bar, but still nothing."The designated hitter rule is like letting someone else take Wilt Chamberlain's free throws."

Re: OA Free Agents
Wait, there are actually online associations available for the PC? Where the hell can I find one (public or private) because this online PC community for nba2k13 seems to be really REALLY limited.
Sorry I didn't help answer your Q, but can you help answer mine? -

You can join me and my friend since we just created a new one and aren't that invested yet. Add me to your friends list and I'll PM you the details of how we play if you're interested."The designated hitter rule is like letting someone else take Wilt Chamberlain's free throws."

Re: OA Free Agents
Yeah sure, me and my friend just do one together. Just go to game modes, then Association: Online, then join. There should be public ones, or if you have a friend that you want to play with, just create a private one. We're not super hardcore players, so we keep up with a mid to fast paced fran just fine. I like playing the CPU for most games because the computer will take the game info, move it offline so there's no lag, and then once its done, just sync back up with the server. Its really nice.

Looks like you can't get messages, so you should choose to accept or whatever. Anyway, I'll just post here, not like there's any vital info, and not like there's anyone here anyway.
Yeah, we did draft, but its was like a few days ago, so we won't care at all, don't worry about that. Since its just us, we usually just call each other and see when a time is good, but we can work it out no problem. Like I said, I like fewer players in the OA, so most of our games will be simmed, and he lives at a college where most of our games end up getting disconnected, so we sometimes just do a straight sim of our games, or just like a best of three sim where I just reset a couple times. Its not really serious with a bunch of rules, and we probably won't be playing fast enough for you to play multiple games per day every day and have enough games to play, because we don't do unlock games.
The reason we don't unlock is because you can't trade with a team that you have played in advance of the actual date because of the stat weirdness, it would be a situation where Igoudala had 25 points against the Lakers, but when the date advances, if I traded him to the Lakers, he would have had 25 points against the Lakers while being on the Lakers.
We do fantasy draft, serpentine, not really too many big restrictions. I promote all users to admin, so if there's a key game coming up and you can't get to it til later, you can pause the league and play it when you want. I have also been known to stagger three drafts to start 10 min apart if there's a certain player you want a higher chance of getting...
So basically, if you want to have a hardcore, get the season done in a couple weeks experience, probably not gonna happen, but it is a nice leisurely, play a game a day or so, medium to fast paced season advancement, not that serious, friendly franchise, that is what we do. I'll check with my friend, I do need to know his stance on it, but if this is what you're looking for, I have no problem drafting again. We've redone several so far, this won't be anything new.
P.S. I like to play a more sim style of basketball that is kind of a running and pushing the ball Suns thing. He likes to semi-cheese, but its only a few games a year, so I don't have a problem with it, plus he's beatable. Neither of us like superstars, so if we get a high pick, we may be switching to another franchise or trading, but its only because we'd rather have two really good players instead of one great one.
Oh yeah, what team do you run with? I like the Suns and Jazz, and I'm running the Jazz right now, he likes the Pistons.
One more thing, I usually toy with sliders based on gameplay, they start at all-star sim, and I bump user shooting down a couple notches as well as CPU OREB to 0. I put user blocking at 100 and CPU at 75, and try to slow the computer down with shot selection tendencies adjustments.
Any other questions, let me know."The designated hitter rule is like letting someone else take Wilt Chamberlain's free throws."

All sounds good to me, I'll take anything at this point. I don't mind choosing a team that's been predrafted in your current league, if it's an inconvenience to redraft. However I'd like to see what players are on what teams. I'm not really sure how an OA exactly works either, so bear with me.
I usually roll with the Nets; that's my team. I'm not looking for anything serious either, a game-a-day format works fine with me. Nothing crazy.
You can send the OA details to my e-mail: [email protected] so I can try to join it on my end, since PMs won't work for me. It doesn't connect to the server whenever I try to join public associations, so hopefully the private way works.Comment
