2. No more super dunking powers by iggy and lebron over multiple defenders

4. Better movement for player controlled on ball defenders
5. Lower momentum
6. Shot blocking at rim by strong blockers
7. Remove ALL auto defense mechanics
8. Finally add defense when ball handler is under rim!!!!

Out of the many problems this game has, I'd be happy if the in-game AI is fixed. Stupid fouls by your teammates, stupid substitutions by the CPU, and awful shot selection by the opponents.
It just doesn't feel real to see Monta Ellis taking 50 shots and scoring 61 in 10 minutes quarters, isn't it?

It's time to let go of the reigns. You claim that you are a sim game, and yet you still have forcefields on the baselines and sidelines. WHY? Fine, let the casuals have their forcefields on quick match or whatever, but on HOF Sim, it shouldn't exist. We should be able to use the baseline as an extra defender. Enough of these ball-handlers squeezing themselves in the tiniest of gaps. It's hideous.

Players shouldn't be able to dunk from wherever, whenever. I don't care if its LBJ, he should not start his dunk animation when he's still being bodied up at the baseline.

Get rid of those defensive riding animations. Yeah, they were better than before, but the amount of sliding in it has just become so much of an eyesore, and the amount of space people can create by just basically push their defender into paint is hideous.

Make the 'hands up' animation actually be of use. Right now it has little use. Also, allow us to have the ability to go straight up without actually try to block the shot attempt, so we can avoid fouling.

The defense should be facing their own basket when trying to guard their man when the ball is being inbounded in full court press and end game situations and they should be "hugging" their man. They shouldn't be behind their own man, watching the ball, just waiting to D them up all the way up the court, they should be denying them the ball. Teams should actually have to work to inbound the ball in these situations. I think 2K10/11 did something like this quite well, probably because there were actual animations of people cutting out of their man's clinch.

Improve the cutting. There's too much bumping right now, and the player stops their momentum when they receive the pass and they receive it in a position as if they aren't even looking to score.

They should have an option maybe a DLC where you can play an association from like the early 2000s so you can have the young HOFs in today's game from back then. Would be fun to play a season with AI, T-Mac, Shaq, Carter, KG, etc guys like that but also some of today's stars.

Improve the game play. Hall of Fame is still too unrealistic. Go back to the 2K12 HOF.

Add more classic jerseys. Missing Raptors purple jerseys.
Also make it possible so we can make the real shoes in the game. I was trying to make some Jordans and I was limited. Change that.

Make the players actually active when there is a rebound to be had. When the ball is bouncing out of bounds, moving the players to the ball to try to keep it inbounds is such a chore. There shouldn't need to be higher hustle ratings or anything. In the NBA they go for the ball, they hardly ever just let the ball go out.

Stop making the big men try to take a charge when someone like Aaron Brooks is going for a shot near the basket. Most of the time a blocking foul is called. It's embarrasing.

Take out the "Quick Tactics" which have just turned out to be a useless gimmick. Bring back the ability to adjust coach profiles and defensive settings on-the-fly, features that were last seen in 2K11.
Also, bring back the dual player control (from 2K10), instead of giving us these extremely limited quick plays, so we can actually exploit matchups directly, instead of relying on tendencies, TCP or off-ball control. It makes absolutely no sense that these things were taken out and replaced with dumbed down versions. There is no rational reason for it, and I refuse to believe that it had anything to do with programming. I believe it was an appeal to 10 year old kids and casuals. That was the wrong decision. It's also probably the reason why the UP direction on the D-pad has been WASTED on showing what signature skills are triggered. Why don't you just include that in a tutorial or scrimmage and let the kids and casuals figure that out themselves?

The standing floater should not be automatic, and there needs to be a defensive animation to counter it.

One little idea that I have is a pretty simple fix and has nothing to do with gameplay so that's why it should be so simple: don't have the Head Coach and the Asst. Coach wear the exact same suit. It's not a pleasant sight. And for goodness sakes, give them some real suits that an actual head coach making millions of dollars a year and not a used furniture salesman. Thanks. Simple fix. Can't screw this one up, 2k.

Don't know if these have been mentioned yet.

When playing online and your opponent pauses the game for whatever reason allow both players to use the menu instead of forcing us to wait while they do changes etc.... Would not be hard to incorporate into the game.

Better matchmaking options would be nice. An option for casual gamers and sim players. FIFA allows you too search for manual opponents only or assisted. Would make a number of people happy. More rewards for playing with teams like the Bobcats when playing against the likes of the Heat etc..... 10 vc win bonus for knocking of Miami with Charlotte feels like a kick in the nuts.

Maybe remove the fans head that gets in the way in the broadcast camera for the Hornets.

Some voice options with different accents for My Player would be nice. I'd like my Australian player to have a different pitch and accent.

Have an Online Achievement System similar to the Call of Duty Series.

Once we complete this challenges, we can either gain VC, customization of our User (shoes, jerseys, etc), or maybe some sort of logo next to our name.

There needs to be some incentive for every game to NOT be Miami vs. OKC


Some of the Categories can be:

Teams:
(ex. Boston - Tier 1 - Win 5 games with the Boston Celtics)

Offense:
(ex. Pick and Roll - Tier 1 - Make 100 Layups/Dunks passing to Screen Man after a Pick.)

Defense:
(ex. Help Defense - Tier 1 - Heavily Contest 100 Layups after coming over on Help Defense)

Play Calling:
(ex. CHI Playbook - 4x Post - Tier 1 - Successfully score 25 times running the play "4x Post")


Basically, reward players for playing with different teams and different styles. This will keep the online experience fresh.

Imagine playing online against someone using the Bobcats who is actually trying to run set plays.

Biggest Wishlist:

1. Improve Fundamentals
2. Focus more on gameplay that gimmicks
3. More control on defense. Less Canimations

Something about 2k13 that feels weird gameplay wise.

on thing that needs major reworking is auto shot contest. NBA players defend by either hands up or jumping to contest shots on the perimeter. These should be manual controlled by users. In 2k13 i notice everyon setting auto shot contest to "ALWAYS" which to me is horribly lazy defense and it also makes jumpshoters void. Its way to effective and shuting down every defensive player when manual defense should be ALOT more effective. I hate to call it LAZY defense but it is . I would like this removed from 2k14. Make users challenge shots themselves. No more "auto" anything.
