    obviously...

obviously with the freezing/salary cap glitch and other problems with offline ccm the only way to enjoy the game in franchise mode is to play 'online' ccm.

how convenient for ea.<sarcasm>..now they can track everyones franchise play style and use that marketing data to profiteer, while i cant save a game to my drive.

I've got the same feeling in my gut as when ea pushed an incomplete nascar sim racing down the throats of racing fans in order to 'get it out by daytona'

hail ea! now to start a new...'again'...online ccm.

madden, the game you love to hate.

Can you provide me any proof where EA states their video games are intended to be "sim" or realistic?

    Calm yourself.

      Re: obviously...

      i'm calm thanks.

I suppose its a general malaise at video games becoming more and more bottom line/nickel and dime, then works of art.

...And i'm not trying to purport that ea would go so far as to neglect offline ccm play in order to put more recources towards their online 'baby', but then again:

Let's hope that ea's number one intention is to 'simultaniously' make money while entertaining.

that's all i have to say about that.

With a completely redesigned passing game including new a new pass-ready system and improved play action, and the all-new read and react defensive AI system that features the most intelligent pass defense to date, Madden NFL 13 achieves greater realism on the virtual gridiron on both sides of the ball.
I'm pretty sure they advertise it as a realistic game.

Good thing another thread was started to express these original thoughts.

They're stating the passing game is more realistic now than previous games. They don't say anywhere that Madden is a simulation sports game.

Are you implying CoD is suppose to be what it's like in the Military because they stated the gameplay is more realistic?

              Re: obviously...

Saying CoD is like the military is like saying NFL Blitz is an NFL sim. And no one but you said or implied anything about CoD.

Not only that if you truly wanted realism, how about go outside and actually throw a football. Otherwise greater realism is all you can do.

              Realism
              3
: the theory or practice of fidelity in art and literature to nature or to real life and to accurate representation without idealization

I'm pretty sure you can see that game design is a form of art, and Madden is trying to represent real life. Also I didn't say it was a sim game, I was simply pointing out that they do advertise realism as you said they didn't.
