The Blackhawks were not intimidated by the champions as they got off to a fast start by scoring 3 goals in the 1st period. With the score at 4-1 in the third, the Kings got a glimmer of hope from a Jordan Nolan goal. The comeback was short lived as Chicago’s Marian Hossa put the game away just seconds after Nolan’s tally.

Re-igniting a Rivalry
Summary: Last Saturday, the Toronto Maple Leafs played the Montreal Canadiens in the 711th meeting between the two rivals. The Leafs took a 2-0 lead and didn’t look back as they won the game 2-1. Ben Scrivens got the nod in net and he didn’t disappoint the Toronto faithful, stopping 21 of 22 shots. Scrivens was denied his first career NHL shutout after Habs Captain Brian Gionta scooped up a loose puck from a Raphael Diaz slapper and tucked it past the Leafs netminder.
