I'm sorry but anyone who thinks Delmon Young isn't trash really hasn't watched him play recently. Delmon may have only made 2 errors last season, but he is probably among the top 5 worst defensive players in baseball right now, I'd say he's the worst but that's a bit of a homer opinion (hell Michael Young may be on that list as well.) Young may not always get charged with an error because he doesn't get to a ball, doesn't mean he didn't mess up horribly on the play. He usually takes god awful routes to balls and typically lets them drop (just my observation, have no stats to back this up) and this typically isn't accounted for in errors being awarded or not.

Why is it that a team in Detroit who has plenty of payroll flexibility would let Delmon walk away, when they look to have some combination of Dirks and Garcia in left. Dirks had a good year last year, but do we really think he'll hit as well as last year? And Garcia is a young unproven guy. Delmon only got 750k, Detroit could have easily picked him up for that if they thought he was worth it. Clearly they and almost every other team in baseball see something you don't.

Rays sign Kelly Johnson to a 1-year contract.

This could potentially be one of the more underrated moves of the offseason if it's for cheap money. This move only has upside if Johnson can hit about 20 HRs like he used to. Looks like he'll take over second base duties with Zobrist shifting over to RF. Johnson has some pop, which is always good for Tampa's offense.

            I have a quick question.

What exactly is the deal with Domonic Brown? Do the Phillies think he isn't ready? Are his tools still raw or have they lost confidence in him? I mean the dude was the number one prospect in baseball at one point according to Baseball America. From what I've seen it looks like he just needs experience at the big league level.

Someone smart (probably KLaw) put it like, "He's the Phillies version of Travis Snider." So at least that's an AL example.

Love this move. Anything to get Sean Rodriguez and/or Elliot Johnson out of the lineup is a plus.

Sean Rodriguez would instantly become the best middle infielder on the Twins.

Slick fielder that can play all three premium defensive positions in the infield, but he is an absolute abortion of a hitter. Like, he is just so, so, so bad offensively that it's ridiculous. I hate his guts.

Not as much as Elliot Johnson, though. **** that guy.

Delmon doesn't make errors because he can only range 5 feet in each direction. And he doesn't get errors for chucking the ball into the ground.

We need a GIF of the game vs Chicago in April. He waddled back to the warning track, did a 720 spin, and dropped the ball. This play was enough for Jim Leyland to throw him at DH for the year. And Jim Leyland is the most clueless manager there is.

Delmon can look alright with the HR and RBI. But you can see on a everyday basis that he's suicide in any lineup

A team that is old and injury prone added Mike Young and Delmon Young to (supposedly) be everyday players. That can't be justified.

The following players have allegedly visited an anti aging clinic in Miami that supplied PED's to MLB players.

                                Gio Gonzalez
