You don't have to crap all over everything AL East related. Seriously, trashing a minor signing... I guess it's good that we're getting hate, though. Better than irrelevance.
He said a player who spent the season in the minors sucks, and that's hate? If that is hate for you, the Blue Jays might need to drift back into irrelevance. You aren't ready for real hate.

No, that's my exact point. Saying some random in the minors sucks is just looking for things to crap on.

And dude, it's just baseball... real hate is something entirely different.

Great! I guess we needed another guy to keep up our strikeout average. This guy offers nothing, especially since he is nonexistent on the field.

Snakes lock up Prado with 4 yr/$40 mil deal... Good for Martin! He's a really solid player.

The Diamondbacks announced they have agreed to a four-year contract through 2016 with infielder/outfielder Martin Prado.  The deal will pay …

LaRoche is likely to be firmly stuck to the bench or spending another full season in AAA anyways so why the vitriol?

Anyways, it's a pretty good depth move IMO.

It's not that strange. They got some decent production out of Chavez, Andrew Jones, and Ibanez as platoon/bench guys. Same deal here. Limited role, change of scenery, hitters park, he could be productive as a platoon DH. If he continues to decline and/or can't stay on the field, then you let him go and lose almost nothing. Yankees aren't in a position roster wise or salary wise where it makes sense to spend a lot of money on a full time DH.

It would have been insane to have seen the Hafner of 6-7 years ago play half of his games in that joke of a stadium. He would have hit 50 bombs a year, 35 of which would have been at home.

I'll give them credit, they did get some decent production from those guys despite their age/situation. But they spend a lot on older players, so there's always going to be a lot of risk.

WE HAVE A LYLE OVERBUM SIGHTING!

Overbay, Blue Jays scapegoat, will be playing for the Red Sox in 2013. Probably the Pawtucket Red Sox.

Gosh what a terrible signing PEDs hurr derr. (Sorry, readyornot, sorta had to get back at you.)

Actually I really don't mind this signing. He gives us a little more depth at 1B for what is supposed to be "A new firstbasemen by Spring" (John Farrell). I hope he's not just saying things, but that gives me a feeling of a BIG trade coming soon (hopefully).

I'm sad that he is no longer a Brave, but good for him getting the extension. Arizona is going to love this guy.
