I have only made one addition through the transfer window which was 25 year old Real Madrid striker Jose Callejon at 11 million dollars. After getting rid of some dead-weight I sent some of my younger players who at the moment would not find a place on the pitch for my squad out on season loans.

First La Liga match was against a very inspired Sevilla FC side that jumped out to a quick 2-0 advantage. At halftime, we found ourselves down 3-1 as the defense had been a complete letdown through the first 45'. My keeper seemed lost between the pipes, not recording a single save! The second half started with a bang as new addition Callejon netted his second goal of the match. In the 72' Callejon volleyed the equalizing goal past the keeper off a rebound, notching a hat trick in his first match with Getafe. Finally, to complete the historic comeback, in the 87' I took a corner that was punched by the keeper then volleyed back into the 18 and headed into the left corner giving my squad their first lead of the match, 4-3...which we held to the final whistle.

This match really showed that I need to take a serious look into my defensive depth after the atrocious first half we had. We have Real Madrid coming up after our next match vs RC Deportivo and we stand no chance if we can't tighten on the back end. Any suggestions on strengthen my defense? Formation change maybe? Currently running a 4-4-1-1. Thanks for the assistance!
Continuing on this...0-0 vs RC Deportivo, 2-2 vs. Real Madrid, 0-2 vs FC Barcelona...

After 4 matches (1-2-1) we currently sit mid-table (11th) with 5 points. I was very happy to escape the Real Madrid game with my one point because I was down 2-0 in the late stages of that match. My subs really provided the spark I so desperately needed. My keeper has been all but a total failure thus far, which is awful since the transfer window has closed.

Next up: @ Celta Vigo (16th)
I really need to take 3 points in this match to get my side back on the right foot.

*On a positive note, I am really enjoying this CM because it's more challenging than any I have played to this point.

Not much of a career, as I'm doing a season long tournament featuring all the nation cup winners from this past season. I'm playing as Liverpool (Winner of the League Cup). I'm currently sitting first in the group stages after the first half of group stage games. This also the first time I tried to document a season on OS, if it works out I'll try it with a Manager Mode.
My teams: Cowboys, Knicks, Braves, Arsenal FC, Nittany Lions

Re: How's your FIFA 13 career mode going?

Well, with my newly increased budget, for about 18M and a spare part player, I bought Bernard. 5* Skill, 90 sprint speed. 85 OVR and only about 24.

However, the first true star my club had, Kevin Peters, has requested a transfer. I'll see if I can keep him somehow as I'm right near the transfer window, but it seems a bit doubtful, and the board wants to move him. His value is near 20M so I'll bring in someone like Jores Okore, who I can hopefully get for 14M or so. I'd still like to move Ernesto Carazo. I had him for Mario Balotelli completed, but Balotelli didn't sign with us.

If I move Peters and Carazo I could have about 40M coming back.

EDIT: Sold Peters for 21M to FC Barcelona. Bought Okore for 14M. At the deadline, now it's time to move Carazo..

Started ny Spurs CM( strict board). today after roster updates from transfer window(like this EA feature). Picked up Donovan and Muriel, sent out Parker and Gallas. Play WC, 10 min, manual besides semi shoot, my 40/60 sliders. Played friendlies against Sevilla(won 2-1), Florentina (2-2), and final one Simmed and won 4-0. Gearing up for league and Euro play. Euro group is Me, redbull salzburg, ajax, and Rangers(I put back in SPL). Thinking about tracking progress in dynasty HQ.

Currently 2nd in the npower league 2 with Bradford City with 12 games left. My goal is to of course get promoted this season and keep coaching with Bradford until I get a job offer from my Villians, Newcastle, or Norwich

Re: How's your FIFA 13 career mode going?

Continuing on my prior posts, my CM with Getafe CF has been about what I expected in year 1. Currently sitting mid-table in 11th with 29 points (6-11-7). Had a tough run to start the campaign falling at one point to 17th in the table, but have started to heat up a little as of late. Had some confidence boosting draws vs Real Madrid (2-2, 2nd time this season) and FC Barcelona (1-1). I brought in a veteran keeper from Milan to boost my team between the pipes...as I mentioned in an earlier post, my original keeper Moya, has been completely inept. I hope to get into the top 6 by the end of the 1st season, but it is going to be a difficult task. I will update you again soon!

So i decided to have a go at career mode with Barcelona, and already outstanding team. But I wanted to create the absolutely best team possible and grow players to their potential and possibly beyond. So far i'm in 2016 and this is how the team is looking! Give me your thoughts

It's your game, so you can play it however you'd like, but that career doesn't look like much fun to me.

I started my player career with the Portland Timbers. I was sold to Tottenham, and then Real Madrid. At RM we win every game by multiple goals and it gets boring for me pretty fast. Although, I will say it's a relief to play when my manager career gets frustrating.

Re: How's your FIFA 13 career mode going?

2016 in my Liverpool FC. Just manhandled everyone, but Suarez, Neymar and Henderson wanted to leave so I they were sold instantly when put on the Transfer List. My budget was close to $140,000,000. I bought young talent that their potential weren't met yet, but I was very dissapointed that my core was pretty much gone.

I decided to save the CM, but discontinue it for awhile. Since the roster update came, I'm now deciding to start a new CM.

It's either with Hamburger, RB Sulzburg (add to 2.Bundesliga), Liverpool (strict financial and use difficult sliders), QPR, Tijuana or a created team in La Liga.

Re: How's your FIFA 13 career mode going?

Been having a little read through and decided to post how my career is going. I decided to choose York City because they seemed to be the hardest challenge.

My first season i decided to play 4-1-2-1-2 because my team only had one natural winger, who i sold. I started off selling a couple of players and buying three free agents (Hwank CB, Brosque ST and Lobaton CM). In my first season my two underrated front man Johnson and Chambers formed a formidable partnership which saw me win the JPT Trophy and win League 2 (On goal difference against Rotherham). I sold 5 - 6 players throughout the season and loaned a few youngsters. I also set up a scouting network in England with a 1 star Englishmen from left over money during the first season with success.

I am currently in my second season in League 1 in November. I brought my two youth academy players to my first team and they are good enough to go straight in my team. Brosque scored a lot of goals in the first few matches and it started a bidding war for him which i finally accepted at 900k even though he was valued at 400k. I brought three more free agents (Bassam GK, Broadshaw CAM and Mcready CM) and sold a few more players. I am currently 3rd from 12 games with 8W 1D 3L and i knocked out QPR in the cup 2 - 1. I also got the job at Finland which they wanted me to get through the WC Qualifiers even though there was only two games left and i was forth and had to play Portugal (W 3 - 1) and Switzerland (L 3 - 1), so i failed to qualify.

                      My current team is
                      ------------------Bassam-----
                      Bandaloswki??--Hwan--Charlobah (Youth)--Blanchett
                      -------------------Bullock
                      ----------------Platt----Green (Youth)
                      ------------------Broadshaw
                      --------------Johnson---Chambers

My career has been enjoyable so far and im hoping to retain the JPT trophy and get promoted this season. I will update my progress.

                          Manager Thoughts:

What a rollercoaster of a season! We got off to a slow start, mainly due to the injury of Wilfried Zaha in the preseason, which saw him miss the first month of the season. We were forced to play some players out of position until he returned and our results showed that. Once he returned, combined with Yannick Bolasie on the left, we had the balance we were looking for on the wings. The goals started flying in (they were the top two in terms of assists on the season) and we started to get results.

Unfortunately, it didn't last. At the end of November, we had a 10+ point lead in the league heading into our matchup in the Capital One Cup against Manchester City. After our loss, the wheels came off. From December 1 - January 1, our record was 1-3-3. We had dropped 12 points and now trailed Wolves in the league. Strangely, we set the ship right against Wolves and took over at the top of the table.

The next stumbling block occurred after suffering a 4-0 demolition at the hands of Arsenal in the FA Cup. That sent us into another downward spiral that saw us lose our next three games and see Wolves establish a 5-point lead at the top of the table. From the middle of March until the end of the season, we went on an absolute tear, going 9-1-0. Two points behind Wolves on the final day of the season, we did our part with a 3-1 over Millwall. Leeds United stunned Wolves with a late equalizer that saw the title end up at Selhurst Park on goal differential.

I have to single out our star of the season and the main reason we were able to come storming back at the end of the season. Our little own Welsh wizard, Jonathan Williams. The 18 year old attacking midfielder started the season playing on the wing while Zaha recovered from his injury. After he returned, he shared attacking midfielder duties with Andre Moritz and fellow teenager Kyle de Silva. In the middle of the season, Moritz dislocated his elbow and Williams was able to get a run in the team. By the time Moritz had returned, Williams had become undroppable. Over the last month and a half of the season, he put the team on his back. Scoring and assisting goals, he did it all. He would finish with 16 goals and 12 assists in all competitions.

Reinforcements will be added in the Summer. We are looking for a few defenders with mobility, some wing cover, and a striker now that Glenn Murray (29 goals) has turned 30. We're going to do our best to stay up and maybe advance a little further in the cups.

Played Sunderland to an epic draw last night with my Arsenal squad.

2-2 in the 90th when I score with Marco Reus to take the lead. Sunderland takes it down into their area, I accidentally foul some dude on the very edge of the box, ref says penalty. I guess right with the keeper but the ball goes in anyways, ends 3-3 at the Stadium of Light.
