TT is better than he was, but that's because he was awful. He's an average NBA PF at best...while both Valanciunas and Drummond have the potential to be legit NBA centers.

You don't have to REACH at #4 to find guys like TT...Especially considering where guys like Faried, Ed Davis, and Kevin Seraphin were drafted...or...I don't know....JJ Hickson....

Valanciunas doesn't suck....he's been injured. he sure looked pretty good when I saw him at The Q when the Raps smoked the Cavs a few days before Xmas.

You are kidding yourself if you think that TT is worth more than either of those two guys...if Chris Grant called the Raps and/or Pistons and offered TT for Jonas or Drummond straight up....he'd get LAUGHED off the phone.
    Lol mmk

The point is, there was nobody in that draft class besides Kyrie. Not one other person from that class will become an all-star. Count on it. I'm happy with TT he's got loads of potential as we've seen from his improvement this year.

I'm sure I'm biased but I look at how he's been playing lately, and everyone else from that class...I'm not sure I would trade him for anyone else in that class. Seriously. Faried is decent but has already peaked. JV is just not a good player. Klay Thompson is good, he might be the only one I'd consider. Or maybe Kawhi Leonard. You get the point. The class just sucked.

And last year, no matter who the Cavs picked it would have been a reach.

No...that's really NOT the point. The point is to take the best player...and that wasn't, isn't, and won't be TT.

I said it when they drafted him, I'm not sure he is better than the Morris twins who outplayed him in college in the Big 12. And nothing he has done has shown me he will be. Sure TT has put up better STATS...because he plays for the Cavs who have fielded what is basically a NBDL team the last 2 seasons minus Kyrie and Varejao - despite the Comic Sans-fonted promises of Dan Gilbert post-"Decision".

      I guess you don't watch much basketball....because I insta-trade Tristan Thompson for...

Enes Kanter (who was off the board in fairness to the Cavs)
      Jonas V
      Klay Thompson
      Nilola Vucevic
      Kawhi Leonard
      Ken Faried
      Chandler Parsons

If it weren't for position I'd add Knight and Kemba to that list...

And I'm still not sure TT is better than either Morris twin...just because they haven't played as many minutes as he has...because they are on better teams....and because of how they play with their ability to knock down jump shots.

Thompson's inability to do this means he has to play some minutes as an undersized C or the Cavs need to find a big man with some midrange game to pair with him...because we saw pairing TT with another non-jumpshooter doesn't work when he played alongside Varejao.

And no...I don't think that's Tyler Zeller...another player overvalued by desperate Cavs fans who WANT to drink the Kool-Aid. Don't get me started on him...he's a 7-footer who shoots 41% and doesn't rebound well. LOL.

Like you, I am a Cavs fan...but unlike you, I'm just not blindly drinking the Cleveland Optimism Kool Aid.

BTW - If Vucevic continues to get better...he will be an All Star at one point in his career. And throwing a 7-footer like Jonas under the bus this soon in his career is a mistake. I saw him in person over a month ago VS the Cavs and he will be a good one.

Plus it would have been nice to have a Lithuanian-born player like Jonas in a city like Cleveland with a large and tradition-rich Lithuanian community.....like it was to have Zydrunas Ilgauskas here for years.

Clueless....sorry but I have to seriously doubt the basketball IQ of anyone who says that Tristan Thompson is the 2nd best player from that draft.

That's about the dumbest thing I've heard in terms of the NBA in a LONG time....and living in the Cleveland area I hear alot of dumb BS.

What are you some teenage or college "know-it-all"...? Gimme a break...I've forgotten more about basketball and the NBA then you know. I'll bet everything I have on that one.

You're pathetic. One of those "Cleveland is cursed, we will never win anything blah blah blah".

Your bull**** pessimism is sickening. You're the douche who predicts his team to lose every game but then brags when they win.

Terrible roster update once again. I'm done getting excited. The one glaring issue with this game is the roster updates and they just don't seem to care how many of us complain. I'm holding out hope for 2K14 but just don't care anymore this year.

Wrong again...not a surprise...it seems to be a running theme.

I don't believe in "curses", sorry.

Given the choice, I'll take pessimism over BLIND optimism any day.

And it's not "pessimism"...it's called REALISM. I see things for what they ARE, not just blindly cheer for something because that is what an organization tries to tell me. But that's because I've been on the other side of things...whereas you are just some teenage slacker who probably hasn't competed on a team since Little League.

Unlike you, I'm able to be a Cavs fan while also not just blindly following the nonsense and propaganda that I am fed. I think for MYSELF and form my own opinions.

One of those being that Tristan Thompson was the wrong pick at #4 that year...watching him play last season only reaffirmed that to me.

If you don't think the Cavs wouldn't swap TT in a heartbeat for Nikola Vucevic...or several other players from that draft.....you're more of a blind FANATIC then you will ever admit.

Vince Carter needs a slight bump on his 3pt rating (shooting over 40% in Jan. His defense also needs a huge boost (Ranked top 10 in Def rating as far as guarding his man) on ball def and def awr needs a boost.

                      B. James needs better def reb Off Rating (small sample size but out of 238 rb chances, he gets 19.7% of the team rebs with 71.4 team reb rating) per 100 pos he avgs like 8 rebs a game. He also has a nice left hand jump hook. he has a efg of .533 from shots in close. So his close rating needs a boost, his post D needs a boost. His vert ans stand dunk needs a boost.

                      S. Marion heeds a runner/floater!!! He has one of the most deadliest runners in the game. I'm not sure why 2K has him shooting with his left hand and it never drops. Please fix the Matrixs runner.

Brandon Wright, Could you please..finally give this man his athlectic ability. 2K has him as C- in that category. The man is the most athletic player on the team. Improve his standing dunk and vert ratings.

Da. Jones has not shot the 3 ball well this year, he deserves a decrease.

Darren Collinson update was good. Thanks,

Now my question is why take Kaman out with a concussion and 2 missed games, but leave Curry and D Howard in the game and they missed the same amount games if not more?
I agree with everything you said except the Darren Collinson part. His steals should be increase to at least a 70 or a little higher. He's averaging around 1.5 steals per game. Compared to everyone that has at least a 70 for steals, they're not even close to averaging that many steals.

They should also add more signature skills to some players that deserve it (O.J. Mayo and so on) and take away some signature skills to others (Jeremy Lin's floor general, Beaubois' signature skills, ect.)

If a players career was only determined by their rookie season, then there would not be many greats in the history of the NBA. Not everyone can come in and be Kyrie at 19 years old.

I agree about Butler's shooting, but definitely his defense and rebounding should be recognized. Kid has put in some big games recently, some of them being crucial to getting key wins. Just a little pat on the back 2k, he earned it.

Hey, I'm new to the forum and honestly tried browsing around in the 2K forums to find the best, most accurate, up-to-date "2k share" roster downloads for XBOX 360.

What do you guys recommend to download? I tried that "Real 2K Insider" roster updates with player edits. It's pretty solid, but felt like he got a few guys wrong by not upping their ratings (namely Batum, Klay Thompson, Luol Deng)

                              weekly melo reminder:

Melo is still at 90 ovr guys...

I know you guys don't put much to overall ratings so look at this

                              Melo's close/medium/layup ratings are 87/87/79
Westbrook's (who is also 90 overall btw) 92/88/96

also why is melo's ball security 73 he's only averaging 2.3 topg and he's bringing the ball up court like 20x a game

personally think Melo should be at least 92 (so that he's rated above Wade, who we can all agree he's playing at a higher level than) especially considering Kobe & KD are both a 95.

92 was actually Melo's rating when the game was released so what exactly has he done on the court that deserved the 2 point decrease?

FINALLY SOMEONE SEE THIS WITH ME. for whatever reason westbrooks stats are still inflated in his mid range game. His jumper has been wayyy less consistent this year then last year and even in the last update of 2k12 he didnt have a 88 mid range. But to answer your question. at the start of the game (before the season) melo was rated a 92. and i believe westbrook was a 93. Many many people complained because they said he had an off year and that he shouldnt be rated that high. which at the time was very fair.

People wanted westrbook to be lowered becasue NO one could understand why he was rated one point lower than KD(KD was a 94 at the start) Melo was lowered to an 89. and westbrook to a 90. but what was crazy was that westbrooks mid range lay up and dunk were not changed. his overall rating was and his consistency i believe. Melo on the other hand had his lay up, dunk, defense, mid range, inside, close, offensive awareness, deff awareness were all lowered. HE then led the knicks to a great start and was shooting 42 percent form three. 2k raised him to a 90. That was in November i believe. Since thta update i have been asking for melo to be raised back to a 92 because he overall is not thaty much worse than KD and Kobe. It makes no sense why melo hasnt been raised considering kobe has received 2 updates. and unstoppable KD received one also. btw melo still shoots 42 percent from three. and he is still playing consistent defense. 2k give him some credit.
